In a 2018 vlog, Johnson East recalled how [Guy] insisted that she meet his little brother, Andrew, who was a student at Vanderbilt University in Nashville where the gymnast was applying. This led to Andrew flying to Los Angeles to meet Johnson East during her time competing on Dancing With the Stars season 15, and they eventually got engaged. They were married in 2016 and now have three children.

In October 2017, the couple shared that they experienced a miscarriage. “We’ve grown through it babe,” Andrew told Johnson East in the emotional vlog. “And I can’t emphasize enough how proud I am of you.”

October 2019
The athletes joyfully welcomed their newborn daughter, Drew, via C-section in late October 2019. "Drew Hazel East 8lbs 8oz 20.5 inches long 10/29/19,” Johnson East captioned the first photo of her baby, which she shared via Instagram. “Named after the most incredible person I know... her daddy."

July 2021
Two years later, the East family grew with the arrival of their son, Jett. The little boy was given the family moniker "Jett James East," as revealed by the Olympic gold medalist on Instagram. "Jett is named after her great great great grandmother," she explained, "while James is in honor of Andrew's brother."

August 2022
The couple had a heartwarming interaction on Instagram. Johnson East wrote, "My hubby is my #1 hype man. Love you babe @andrewdeast," as the caption for the video of them, where he gave her outfit choices high ratings.

July 2023
During a July 12 episode of their “Couple Things” podcast, the couple announced that they were expecting another baby.
“I don’t know what three [children] will be like; it either goes one of two ways. People say it’s like, ‘Oh, it’s no big deal, you already have two.’ Or people are like, ‘Three kids broke me,’” Andrew expressed. “So, we’ll let you know how that goes for us, but I’m super open to having more kids … but I’m not the one who gets pregnant and I’m gonna respect [your decision].”
Johnson, for her part, thought this pregnancy would be her last since Andrew gives her “very large babies” that take a physical “toll” on her body.

December 2023
Johnson East underwent a C-section on December 12, welcoming their third baby into the world.
In her "FamilyMade" newsletter, Johnson East expressed her joy at watching Drew and Jett meet their new sibling, describing it as the sweetest moment ever. She noted that both of her older children have been very gentle with the baby and she can tell that they are thrilled that the wait is finally over, particularly Drew.
