Olympic Gymnast Shawn Johnson Expecting Her Third Bundle of Joy with Andrew East: See Her Adorable Bump Photo!

Shawn Johnson and her spouse, Andrew East, are getting ready to welcome a new addition to their family. The couple shared the exciting news of Johnson's pregnancy on Instagram on July 12. Johnson revealed her baby bump while on a family trip to Greece, encouraging her followers to swipe for a surprise.

On the Wednesday episode of their “Couple Things” podcast, Johnson and East, both 31, revealed more information about her pregnancy. She admitted that they had intentionally delayed sharing the news and expressed mixed emotions, describing it as a bittersweet experience. She further added that keeping the news to themselves had been enjoyable and created a special bond between them.

Johnson and East playfully quipped that they had exhausted all possible tactics to conceal her visibly growing baby bump now that she had reached the midway point of her pregnancy.

"I jokingly mentioned that this would be our final time," she informed her spouse. "Considering the fact that you tend to give me larger babies, which have a significant impact on my well-being. If we do desire more children in the future, I am certainly open to adopting or exploring alternate paths."

In November 2019, the couple experienced the joy of becoming parents with the arrival of their daughter Drew, following a heartbreaking miscarriage. Their family grew again in July 2021 with the birth of their son Jett. Even before Jett's arrival, Johnson and East held onto hope for expanding their beloved brood.

"We're already past the halfway mark of our second pregnancy, and I can envision myself going through it again," Johnson revealed exclusively to We in March 2021.

East added, "I believe it will depend on the sex of this child. We'll have to wait and see. However, considering how well things are going with Drew and how enjoyable it is, I would be thrilled to have more. I'm currently in that stage."

Johnson and East, who have chosen not to know the gender of their third baby in advance, are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their new addition. East humorously commented on the unknown experience of having three children, acknowledging that some say it's no different since they already have two, while others claim that three kids can be overwhelming. East expressed openness to having more children but respects Johnson's decision as she is the one who gets pregnant.

Johnson also mentioned that she intends to undergo another C-section. "It has had a significant impact, and I believe that in order to maintain my physical well-being as a mother, to be able to actively care for my children and stay healthy, even my OB would agree that having three kids is a good choice," she stated.
