A player of The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom has taken creativity to a new level by constructing a vehicle that is a marvel of death and destruction - a feat that would make even the infamous Spider-Man villain, Big Wheel, envious. The game has provided a platform for players to unleash their imagination and build extraordinary machines using its mechanics. Since its launch, Tears of the Kingdom has empowered millions of players to unleash their inner engineer, resulting in the creation of everything from terrifying Korok torture machines to exhilarating flying contraptions that can defy gravity. The possibilities for absurd inventions are seemingly endless in this game.
A player of Tears of the Kingdom, who goes by the name ClearFlat on the game’s subreddit, has created a unique vehicle that resembles Spider-Man's nemesis, Big Wheel. This former businessman-turned-supervillain rides around in a one-man Ferris wheel equipped with guns, and ClearFlat's invention seems to be an attempt to upstage this absurd villain. The vehicle, made by attaching the center of a concrete column to a large Zonai wheel using Link's Ultrahand ability, has a Zonai steering device connected to it. The column's ends are attached to a series of Zonai sleds, which have spike barriers attached to their outer sides. ClearFlat uses this death wheel to crush anything in its path, from wild horses to Boboklins, although it ultimately turns out to be more comical than deadly.
Members of the Tears of the Kingdom subreddit have been comparing ClearFlat's infernal machine to various circular pop-culture death vehicles. Some have likened it to General Grievous’ TSMEU-6 Wheel Bike from Star Wars Episode 3: Revenge of the Sith and the Phoenix Whirlwind, aka the Wheel of Fortune, driven by Jack Atlas in Yu-Gi-Oh!. ClearFlat's machine is being compared to some iconic rides, though comic book fans who love deep-cut D-list supervillains will see the true point of comparison with Big Wheel. Unfortunately, a Zelda game may be the closest we ever get to seeing Big Wheel on screen.
