Ahsoka's Inquisitor Unveiled: A Game-Changer for Star Wars Theories? Delve into Marrok's Intriguing Clone Wars History!

The new Inquisitor in Ahsoka has been officially revealed, potentially debunking numerous Star Wars theories surrounding their identity. In the previews for Ahsoka, an unidentified Inquisitor is shown engaging in multiple battles with the main character, despite the disbanding of the Inquisitorius and the demise of Darth Vader. Speculation has abounded about the person behind the mask, with popular contenders including Barriss Offee, Ezra Bridger, and even Starkiller. However, it is possible that the Inquisitor is an entirely new character.

Reddit user u/champdo initially discovered that the Disney captions for screenshots from the new Ahsoka trailer name the Inquisitor as Marrok. Stunt double Paul Barnell is credited as the performer, though a different actor may portray the character during unmasked scenes. As the Inquisitor's true identity is shrouded in mystery, it is conceivable that Marrok is simply a temporary name placeholder, to be replaced with the character's actual name when Ahsoka premieres.

Marrok's Clone Wars History Explained

The Astonishing Revelation: Ahsoka's Inquisitor Unveiled - Unraveling the Last Remaining Star Wars Theories!

This is not the first time a Marrok character has appeared in Star Wars. In Star Wars: The Clone Wars, the bounty hunter Embo had a companion named Marrok, who was an Anooba. However, Marrok died before the Battle of Jakku in 5 ABY. It is highly unlikely that the Inquisitor is a wolf, so any suggestion of that is impossible. However, given showrunner Dave Filoni's fondness for wolves, Marrok could be a reference to his work on The Clone Wars and a way to acknowledge his favorite creature.

It is more probable that Marrok is simply a temporary character, which is uncommon but not unheard of in Star Wars. The current marketing strategy is somewhat deceptive, and keeping the true identity of the Inquisitor a secret implies that there is more to the character than initially shown. Although the theory of the Barriss Offee Inquisitor is in danger of being disproven, Marrok could still be anyone in Ahsoka.
