Summary
Baylan Skoll has a secret mission to go after the Skywalkers, as confirmed by a poster featuring his character.
Baylan dons armor equipped with a wrist device that ominously displays the names of the Skywalker family, indicating his sinister intention to annihilate them. The motive driving Baylan's perilous quest remains veiled in secrecy, leaving one to ponder the possibility of a deep-rooted vendetta against the Skywalkers, or the potential involvement of a mysterious benefactor who commissioned him to target their kin.
A poster for Ahsoka reveals that Baylan Skoll, played by Ray Stevenson, has a hidden objective to pursue the Skywalkers. Currently aligned with Morgan Elsbeth on the Pathway to Peridea, Baylan also has another mission to fulfill. The armor worn by the former Jedi contains a wrist device that, at one point, displayed the names of the Skywalker family, including Han Solo, Chewie, and even Ben. While this Easter egg initially appears as a subtle nod to the Skywalker lineage, a chilling truth is confirmed by a new detail found on the poster.
Baylan's wrist device is prominently featured in his character poster for Ahsoka. According to StarWarsOnly, the Aurebesh on the device reveals a chilling truth. The letters spell out "TRGT DAT," which undoubtedly represents the acronym "TARGET DATA."
Essentially, Baylan's wrist device serves as a literal hit list, displaying the names of individuals he aims to eliminate. In a previous instance, the names of Luke, Leia, and their loved ones were displayed on this list, confirming that the fallen Jedi is actively pursuing them.
Baylan's True Agenda Is A Still Mystery
The question remains why Baylan has shown no interest in pursuing the Skywalkers in Ahsoka so far. However, he has expressed his dislike for Anakin Skywalker to Ahsoka, indicating a possible desire to eliminate any trace of the Skywalkers. One possible explanation is that Baylan has received a vision in the Force, predicting future conflicts in the sequel Star Wars trilogy era. Alternatively, serving as a mercenary for Morgan Elsbeth, Baylan might have been hired to target the Skywalker family. Given Leia's involvement in establishing the New Republic and Luke establishing a new Jedi Order, it is not unreasonable for someone like Baylan to want to target them. This could be the motivation behind his search for the power calling to him in Ahsoka's new galaxy, as assistance would likely benefit him in eliminating such a formidable family. It could also be unrelated, possibly a job or personal mission that Baylan will fulfill once he discovers what he seeks on Peridea. Nevertheless, it is now evident that Baylan harbors a vendetta against the Skywalkers, and their names being listed as his targets is undoubtedly intentional.
