Teyana Taylor has accused her estranged husband, Iman Shumpert, of being frequently under the influence of marijuana in front of their two young daughters. In court documents obtained by TMZ, Taylor, 33, claimed that Shumpert, 33, smokes marijuana around their daughters, Junie, 8, and Rue, 3. She also alleged that the former basketball star fails to properly care for and feed their kids despite living in their family home. Shumpert has not publicly responded to Taylor's allegations. We have reached out to him for comment.
In January 2023, Taylor filed for divorce from Shumpert after seven years of marriage. They later announced their separation in September 2023. Taylor clarified via Instagram that "infidelity" was not a factor in their split, emphasizing that they remain close friends and successful coparents to their two children.
She stated: "Above all, we are a family. In the 10 years we've been together, and 7 years of marriage, we have never played around with that. We simply keep certain things private, which is why we have been able to separate peacefully without outside interference."
The divorce became contentious when Taylor accused Shumpert of being a jealous narcissist in her filing, alleging that he is insecure about her career as a pop star and actress. She also claimed he was cruel to her. Shumpert denied all her allegations.

In December 2023, Shumpert responded to Taylor's divorce motion, citing an "irretrievable broken bond" as the sole reason for the split. He also requested that Taylor's allegations be stricken from the record and emphasized his responsible parenting. As the divorce proceedings continued, Taylor requested privacy for their children Junie and Rue.
