Taylor Armstrong has decided to move on from The Real Housewives of Orange County after only one season, leading to her departure from the series.

The 52-year-old revealed her decision to leave RHOC in a post on Instagram on Wednesday, November 29. "Loved spending time with the ladies of #RHOC and thankful I got to give the viewers an update on my life," she wrote alongside a series of photos from her time on the show.

"I've formed some meaningful friendships that I truly value. Wishing the best to all the ladies for season 18," Armstrong added. "P.S. Adding season 17 to my IMDb. #realhousewivesoforangecounty."

Several of Armstrong's RHOC co-stars were taken aback by her announcement, including fellow season 17 newcomer Jennifer Pedranti. "I love you SO much," she commented in the section below.

Tamra Judge expressed her surprise at the casting change, responding to Armstrong’s post with the comment, “You will be missed Taylor. #friendsforever.”

Teddi Mellencamp, who departed from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in September 2020, commended Armstrong, saying, "You've given us so much from cotton candy to ice cream! Gonna miss watching you️."

Armstrong was first introduced to fans when RHOBH debuted in 2010. She was a main cast member for three seasons and made several guest appearances. Her final episode on RHOBH was during season 6 in 2016.

In 2021, she made her return to reality TV on the show The Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip Ex-Wives Club on Peacock. The next year, Armstrong created a stir when she announced in August 2022 that she would be switching to the RHOC franchise for season 17, which has already aired. "I feel that many viewers only saw the tragic part of my life and didn't get to see what came after," Armstrong exclusively told We in June 2022. This was in reference to her late husband, Russell Armstrong, who tragically died by suicide in August 2011 after she had filed for divorce a month earlier.
