Shannon Beador has returned to Bravo after her DUI arrest three months ago. The 59-year-old Real Housewives of Orange County star posted a photo on Instagram on Wednesday, January 10, showing herself smiling on set. In the caption, she simply added a heart emoji. The photo featured Beador dressed in all black with a full face of makeup, along with her daughters Stella, Adeline, and Sophie, and a group of crew members.
Production for season 18 of RHOC officially begins next week, but Shannon has already returned to filming early to capture moments with her daughters before they head back to school. Shannon first joined RHOC during season 9 in 2014 and has been a main cast member ever since.
In September 2023, Newport Beach PD confirmed to We that Shannon had been arrested for a hit-and-run and driving under the influence. According to TMZ, the reality star was driving erratically before entering a residential property and hitting a house. She then parked her car in the middle of the street and exited with her dog, seemingly trying to make it look like she had been walking her pet when the police arrived.
Shannon was cited and released by the Newport PD, and her car was confiscated as part of the investigation into the property damage.

Shannon's attorney issued a statement days after the incident, expressing that Shannon is deeply sorry and ready to take responsibility for her actions. In October 2023, Shannon was charged with one count of driving under the influence of alcohol and a second count of driving under the influence with a blood alcohol level exceeding .08 percent. Additionally, she was charged with a third misdemeanor for a hit-and-run causing property damage, as revealed in court documents.
Shannon ended her silence on the recent ordeal by addressing it in her Instagram Story. She mentioned that she wasn't ready to comment on the situation at the moment but reassured her followers that she intends to be transparent and truthful when the time is right. Alongside a video of her walking her dog, she expressed her current focus on regaining her health and rediscovering herself.

Us confirmed one month later that Shannon was placed on three years of informal probation, avoiding any jail time. She was also required to pay various fines, complete 40 hours of community service, and successfully finish a nine-month alcohol program. Shannon's lawyer stated that she "pleaded no contest/nolo contendere" to the first of her two misdemeanor charges, and the judge dismissed the hit-and-run charge after Shannon "made full restitution to the homeowner" and "admitted her wrongdoing" early on.

In a statement from November 2023, Shannon expressed gratitude that she was the only one injured in the incident. She also acknowledged the lessons learned from her mistake and the realization that driving under the influence is never acceptable.
Shannon joined the RHOC cast in season 17 alongside Tamra Judge, Heather Dubrow, Gina Kirschenheiter, Emily Simpson, and Jennifer Pedranti. Following Shannon's DUI, Tamra, 56, supported her, but they and their friend Vicki Gunvalson recently had a falling out. Tamra and Vicki, 61, had a public feud on social media while Tamra promoted a live show with Emily, 47, and Teddi Mellencamp, her co-host on "Two Ts in a Pod." Previously, she had done shows with Shannon and Vicki under the name "Tres Amigas." Now, the "Dos Amigas" are going on tour.
