It was love at first sight for Kara Keough and husband Kyle Bosworth — but their marriage hasn’t been without tragedy.
In March 2018, Keough recalled her visit to a pub named Maloney's with the intention of finding the lucky charm seen in the picture. She referred to the person as "the pot of gold at the end of the rainbow." Keough eventually spotted him on the dance floor, sporting 16 tally marks on his forearm. At the time, she was unaware that each tally mark represented a drink, as she had just started drinking at the age of 21. Kara proudly announced that she had captured this "little leprechaun" on that memorable night eight years prior and had been with him ever since. She considered herself a fortunate lady.
Despite experiencing a streak of good luck, such as the joyous arrival of their daughter Decker, the couple was struck with tragedy in April 2020. Their second baby, McCoy, sadly passed away during childbirth. However, the following year brought new hope as Kara gave birth to a healthy baby boy named Vaughn in March 2021, whom she lovingly referred to as "heaven-sent" on social media. Now, in July 2023, Kara has shared the news that she is expecting baby number four, an emotional mix of both joy and sorrow.

March 2010
The twosome went on their first date, which Kara later recalled via Instagram. She reminisced about the evening, mentioning that they split the bill, watched a movie, and ended the night passionately on his couch. In her Instagram post, she affectionately referred to her partner as a "Greek God look-a-like". Kara admitted that she stayed awake until 4 a.m., unable to contain her happiness, thinking about how polite, charming, and irresistibly attractive he was.
February 2014
The pair tied the knot at Kara’s mom’s house in Coto de Caza, California. The bride shared photos from the “Best. Day. Ever.” via Instagram following the reception.
August 2015
Kara confirmed her first pregnancy via Instagram. “Needless to say, she’s already so spoiled. Thanks for loving on #BabyBoz,” she wrote.
January 2016

Kara shared the news of her second pregnancy in a light-hearted blog post, playfully describing her expanding belly in a humorous way. She amusingly remarked, "Instead of a rosé FUPA from France, a Swiss cheese fart from Switzerland, or a pasta clot from Italy, it seems that our little Eurotrip has left our hearts, bellies, and my uterus quite content."
March 2020
On the anniversary of their first date, the Bravo alum celebrated 10 years with Bosworth. Kara shared on Instagram that the only change in their dynamic is that now she allows him to pick up the tab. She often describes her husband as the kindest man she has ever met, and she believes that his kindness is the reason behind many blessings in her life. The kindness that he exudes as a family brings joy to their lives, attracting great friends, new opportunities, and an overall positive energy.

The devastating news of the couple's second child, son McCoy, passing away during childbirth on April 6 left Kara and her husband heartbroken. One week later, Kara took to Instagram to share the heartbreaking update with their followers, revealing that McCoy had tragically lost his life due to complications including shoulder dystocia and a compressed umbilical cord. Despite the immense sadness they felt, Kara expressed gratitude by acknowledging that McCoy had now joined their Heavenly Father, forever living in the hearts of his loving parents, his adoring sister, and the recipients of his life-saving gifts. The pain of their loss was evident, but they found solace in knowing that McCoy's legacy would continue to touch the lives of others.

The couple welcomed their third baby, a son named Vaughn, just six days before their late son's first birthday on March 31st. In an Instagram post the next month, Kara shared that Vaughn's name signifies "small/little" and "hope." "It should be a happy occasion for our growing family. However, I can't help but feel cautious and reluctant to fully embrace the excitement," she openly admitted on social media. "It feels right that those who have supported us during our times of grief should also share in our moments of joy. So, because Decker and her grandmother @jeanakeough aren't great at keeping secrets, I am both proud and incredibly scared to announce Baby Bosworth #4 — due in November."
