Steve Harvey is very protective when it comes to meeting his daughters' potential suitors. He shared in an exclusive interview with We on Friday, March 22, while talking about The Steve Harvey Network, that he removes any bad ones he spots. This makes his daughters very cautious when introducing them.

Steve is a father to four girls. He has twins named Karli and Brandi, who are 40 years old, with his ex-wife Marcia Harvey. When he married Marjorie Harvey in 2007, he also became the father of her daughters, Morgan, who is 38, and Lori, who is 27.

According to Steve, he believes that while someone may seem wonderful at first, everyone wears a mask initially. This mask usually lasts for about 90 days, and then their true self starts to show. Steve prefers to wait and see how someone truly is after this period, as sometimes people are able to maintain the image they initially present, while others are not.

Sometimes, Steve relies on "the mask" to reveal someone's intentions, but other times he can sense a person's vibe immediately. If he feels that someone is not a good person right from the start, he starts evaluating them right away. He doesn't say anything to his daughter, but he works behind the scenes to make sure that person is out of their lives.

Steve is very careful about who his kids date because he believes that choosing a life partner is the most important decision anyone can make.

The Family Feud host continued: “That relationship becomes an elevator. It can take you up or it can take you down, so choose wisely.”

His belief that everyone initially wears a "mask" and that their true character emerges over time is a reminder to be observant and patient in assessing potential romantic interests. Harvey's emphasis on respecting women and treating them with dignity is commendable. His advice to his sons to treat women the way they would want their sisters or mothers to be treated is a valuable lesson for all men. Respect is a cornerstone of healthy relationships and should be a non-negotiable expectation., advice, and personal growth.
