According to documents obtained on June 15, Khloé Kardashian and Tristan Thompson both listed the same address on their son Tatum's name change petition. The former couple, who have a 5-year-old daughter named True and a 10-month-old son named Tatum, filed a petition on June 8 to change their son's last name from Kardashian to Thompson.
Thompson, 32, recently moved closer to his former fiancé, 38, and their children, prompting the parents to file their respective documents. According to a source, Thompson now resides just 0.2 miles away from Khloé in Hidden Hills, allowing him convenient access to visit her and the kids. Interestingly, shortly after this development, it was announced that Thompson would be joining the Los Angeles Lakers. Notably, Thompson is also the father of two other children, Prince, 6, with Jordan Craig, and Theo, 18 months, with Maralee Nichols. It is worth mentioning that Kardashian and Thompson welcomed their son via surrogate in July 2022, seven months after Nichols gave birth to Theo.
Thompson admitted his paternity in a statement issued the following month, expressing his apologies to Kardashian. "Khloé, you do not deserve this. I deeply regret the pain and humiliation I have caused you," he conveyed in his message. "I am aware that I have mistreated you throughout the years, and you deserve better."
According to another source, Kardashian felt let down by Thompson's actions, particularly because he pursued the process of finding a surrogate while simultaneously engaging in infidelity. This betrayal is viewed as unforgivable by Kardashian. The insider further revealed that Kardashian has firmly resolved to sever any romantic ties with Thompson and move on from their relationship.

Despite the basketball player's expressed desire to salvage their relationship, Khloe Kardashian has made it clear that she has no intentions of reconciling with him.
“Khloé is unsure about the possibility of reconciling with Tristan, and she doesn't believe it will ever happen," a different source informed Us on May 17. "She is grateful that they have a strong and healthy co-parenting relationship, and that is all she could ask for. As long as Tristan continues to be there for his children, she will continue to encourage her loved ones to support him."
Before revealing her son's name on the May 25 episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, Kardashian discussed why she had not shared her baby boy's name earlier. "Initially, I had no idea what I wanted to name him. I wanted to meet him and get a sense of his personality. So, in the beginning, he didn't have a name," she explained on the April 5 episode of The Jennifer Hudson Show.
Kardashian recently shared her experience of welcoming her son through a surrogate, revealing that it initially posed challenges in forming a bond with him. Khloé acknowledged that while some people may find it easy to connect with their surrogate-born children, her own experience was not as effortless. She described the process as feeling "transactional" and expressed a desire for more honesty and awareness about the unique aspects of surrogacy. However, she emphasized that this difference does not necessarily imply a negative or positive outcome.
