Stephen Huszar still holds a deep longing for another moment with his former Chesapeake Shores costar Treat Williams, who passed away nearly one year ago.

"Treat Williams was truly a beautiful soul, and his absence is deeply felt by all of us," shared Huszar, 40, exclusively with We. When asked about which Chesapeake Shores castmate he would choose to work with on a Hallmark rom-com, he expressed, "If I could go back in time and have Treat by our side, I would love nothing more than to share the screen with him again. He was truly a remarkable soul."

Williams passed away in June 2023 at the age of 71 following a tragic motorcycle accident. In March, Ryan Koss, the driver involved in the crash, admitted to negligent driving causing death. As a consequence, his driver's license was suspended for a year for the offense, and Koss was also required to participate in a community restorative justice program.

Famous celebrities, including Williams' Hallmark colleagues, expressed their sorrow over the beloved actor's untimely death.

Barbara Niven, who portrayed Williams’ TV wife, shared with Entertainment Tonight in June 2023 how difficult it is to accept his absence. She described him as someone who exuded a larger-than-life presence, filling up the room and set. Niven expressed gratitude for the opportunity to work with him on Chesapeake for six years, creating a family-like atmosphere. Williams not only enhanced their acting skills but also inspired them to live life to the fullest, never settling for less.

In an exclusive interview with Us in July 2023, Huszar opened up about the emotional impact of Williams’ passing on the entire cast. Despite the sadness, Huszar mentioned that it has brought the cast closer together in a unique way.

The actor from Everything Puppies shared, "We've been honoring his life. He's been a strong figure for our family and especially for me personally."

Williams portrayed the character Mick O'Brien, the patriarch, on the Hallmark series from 2016 to 2022. On the other hand, Huszar became a part of the cast in 2021, playing the role of Luke Tatum.

Despite losing Williams, Huszar mentioned in an interview that the Chesapeake Shores cast remains tight-knit and they are open to a TV reunion. He expressed that he is close friends with everyone from the show and they still keep in touch through a group chat. Additionally, they have been discussing the possibility of a spinoff.

Huszar shared his thoughts on the possibility of a reunion, stating that the decision ultimately lies with the producers and Hallmark. However, he expressed a strong desire to reunite with the cast, especially at the picturesque Vancouver Island where they filmed.

Currently, Huszar is basking in the success of his latest Hallmark project, Everything Puppies, which aired on Saturday, May 18. In the film, he portrays Alex, a pet shop manager who assists Scarlett (Pascal Lamothe-Kipnes) in finding dog treats at his store and achieving international recognition.

"I just support her in her dreams. But it’s really about if you have a great idea, believe in it. Keep going because as long as you believe in it, it will become real,” Huszar told Us of the premise. “As long as you truly believe in [yourself] other people will sort of jump on that bandwagon with you and support you. I think that’s really the underlying message of the movie.”
