Girl power! The Spice Girls, consisting of Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice), Victoria Beckham (Posh Spice), Mel B (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), and Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), were formed in 1994 and quickly became one of the most beloved music groups of all time.

Originally named Touch, the band later changed their name to Spice after cowriting a song titled “Sugar and Spice.” However, they discovered another artist already used the name Spice, so they settled on the name Spice Girls, which became their iconic identity.

In November 2018, Halliwell, Mel B, Chisholm, and Bunton disclosed their plans to tour again, this time without Beckham. Despite Beckham's decision not to join them, she showed her support from the sidelines.

In March 2024, the Spice Girls celebrated 30 years since their iconic auditions.

They took to their official Instagram account to share a throwback video from the audition process, commemorating the milestone. In their post, they expressed gratitude to their fans for the support throughout their incredible journey that began in 1994. #FriendshipNeverEnds.

Geri Halliwell, also known as Ginger Spice, left the group in 1998 to pursue a solo career. However, she rejoined the band in 2007.
