Guess what? The Spice Girls had a surprise reunion to celebrate Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday. Victoria’s husband, David Beckham, shared a video on Instagram on Saturday, April 20, showing the former bandmates performing their 1997 hit song “Stop” at the party.

In the video, Victoria (Posh Spice) joined Mel B (Scary Spice), Melanie Chisholm (Sporty Spice), Emma Bunton (Baby Spice), and Geri Halliwell (Ginger Spice) to perform the official “Stop” choreography. David, 48, enthusiastically filmed the dance party and eventually joined in singing. He looked sharp in a black tux, while Victoria dazzled in a mint-colored gown.

At the event, not only did the Spice Girls make an appearance, but all four of David and Victoria’s children also attended. The couple has sons Brooklyn, 25, Romeo, 21, Cruz, 19, and daughter Harper, 12. Brooklyn’s wife, Nicola Peltz Beckham, was unable to attend but sent her best wishes.

Peltz Beckham, 29, took to her Instagram Story to wish her lovely [mother-in-law] a happy birthday. She expressed her sadness at not being able to celebrate in person and send her love from afar along with her naunni. The distance made her miss them all even more!

Victoria reposted the heartfelt message on her own Instagram Story, adding, "Love and miss u xxx."

Before Victoria met David in 1997, she was part of the famous girl group, the Spice Girls. The band became popular in July 1996 with their hit single "Wannabe."

After releasing three albums, the Spice Girls took a break in December 2000. Since then, each member has worked on solo projects. They briefly reunited in 2008 for their Greatest Hits album and again in 2012 for the closing ceremony of the London Olympics.

Mel B, 38, Chisholm, 50, Bunton, 48, and Halliwell, 51, have all shown interest in a reunion tour. However, Victoria has chosen not to join them.

During an interview on the “Out to Lunch” podcast in 2019, Chisholm mentioned that Victoria has moved on and her priorities have changed. She no longer has a passion for performing and finds it intimidating. Victoria is fully dedicated to her successful business and stepping away from it would be a challenge. If she ever felt excited about being on stage again, she would surely be a part of the reunion.

Chisholm expressed, "We're all aware of the situation and we completely understand. It's sad that Victoria won't be with us, but we are all very supportive and understanding of her decision."

Despite deciding not to join the upcoming tour, Victoria has been expressing her love for her Spice Girls friends through casual get-togethers and social media posts. Mel B even asked Victoria to design her wedding dress for her marriage to Rory McPhee.
