In Episode 2 of Solo Leveling titled “If I Had One More Chance”, Song Chi-yul suffered the loss of an arm during an attack from the statues, while Jin-Woo discovered that as long as they remained kneeling, the statues would not attack. It had been seven days since the gate had opened, and they were on the brink of a Dungeon break.
Jin-Woo soon discovered that standing beneath the statues holding musical instruments would cause them to start playing, halting the second round of attacks. Tragically, in his attempt to rescue Joo-Hee, Jin-Woo lost his leg before reaching a musical statue. As the third commandment, an Alter materialized in the dungeon.
After the circle surrounding the altar was breached by the six remaining players, they realized that as long as one person stayed inside, the rest could escape. With the exception of Song and Joo-Hee, everyone else deserted Jin-Woo. At his request, Song Chi-Yul also exited the dungeon carrying an unconscious Joo-Hee.
The statues then launched an attack on Jin-Woo and trapped him on the altar as the sacrifice. Just 0.02 seconds before his demise, Jin-woo received a notification similar to what one would receive inside a virtual reality game, informing him that he could become a player. Without knowing what it entailed, Jin-Woo accepted the offer to survive.
What to Expect from Solo Leveling Episode 3
Episode 2 covered chapters 4-10 of the webtoon, a stark contrast to the 3-chapter adaptation in episode 1. The pacing is expected to continue in the second episode, adapting chapters 8-14, allowing viewers to witness Sung Jin-Woo's recovery and understand how the System operates.
The mysterious Notification Jin-Woo received at the end of the second episode will be unveiled, along with the introduction of Hunter Awakening and Mana. Woo Jin-Chul will make an appearance in this episode to explain what transpired in the Double Dungeon.
Editor's P/S
As an enthusiastic fan of Solo Leveling, I am eagerly anticipating the release of Episode 3. The second episode left me on the edge of my seat, with Jin-Woo facing a life-or-death situation in the Cartenon Dungeon. The stakes have never been higher, and I can't wait to see how Jin-Woo overcomes this seemingly insurmountable challenge.
I am particularly intrigued by the mysterious notification that Jin-Woo received at the end of Episode 2. What does it mean to become a player? How will this affect Jin-Woo's journey? I have a feeling that this will be a major turning point in the story, and I can't wait to find out more.
