'SNL' Mocks Tom Sandoval Once More in Latest 'Weekend Update' Segment, Suggests He's a 'Moocher'

Tom Sandoval was caught in Saturday Night Live’s crosshairs for the second time in one season.

During the Saturday, May 11, episode, the "Weekend Update" hosts Colin Jost and Michael Che talked about presidential candidate Robert Kennedy Jr. claiming to have a brain worm. In the sketch, SNL cast member Sarah Sherman portrayed the worm, a reference to a joke made by her mother in the Mother's Day cold open earlier in the show.

Sherman, dressed as a worm, joked about RFK Jr.'s body being a perfect place for worms with no vaccines around. She mentioned her "parasite posse" including hook worm, bot fly, the fish that swims up your urine stream, and Tom Sandoval.

Sherman went through each worm and their names while photos appeared on the screen. When she reached Sandoval, a picture of the Vanderpump Rules star walking shirtless outside was shown.

Saturday’s episode, hosted by SNL veteran Maya Rudolph with musical guest Vampire Weekend, wasn't the first time Sandoval was mentioned on the show. He was previously referenced in a February episode when cast member Marcello Hernandez dressed up as a frozen embryo to discuss a ruling by the Alabama state Supreme Court. The court had decided that frozen embryos stored for in vitro fertilization are considered children, allowing parents to sue for wrongful death if the samples are damaged before implantation.

Hernandez, 26, joked on “Weekend Update” that he has never spoken before because he lacks a mouth, throat, or lungs. He humorously remarked, “Does this seem like a life to you, Colin? I’m existing at negative 200 degrees in liquid nitrogen, freezing my non-existent nipples off. I have no brain, no heart; I’m similar to Tom Sandoval.”

However, Hernandez’s character amusingly pointed out that he cannot watch Sandoval on Vanderpump Rules because he does not possess eyes.

"But Tom is such a narcissist, even without eyes," the SNL comedian remarked. "I'm just glad to be out of that freezer, Colin. It felt like a prison with no names, just numbers. I remember when they isolated my closest friend for nine months."

Tom Sandoval, known for his role on VPR, gained a negative reputation in March 2023. This was due to reports of him being unfaithful to his girlfriend of many years, Ariana Madix. The person he was involved with was another Bravo personality, Rachel "Raquel" Leviss. As a result of this betrayal, Sandoval and Madix, who is 38 years old, ended their relationship. Madix has made it clear that she has no interest in communicating with the co-owner of TomTom.

Sandoval and Madix have moved on with Victoria Lee Robinson and Daniel Wai, respectively.
