Just four days after his death, the family held a funeral to honor and remember him. Garrison's cousin, Emma Brown, shared this information with the public.

Emma expressed her emotions in a heartfelt Instagram post on Saturday, as she got ready for Robert's funeral. She wished she could have shared her feelings with him before saying goodbye, stating, "We love you." Emma mentioned that she couldn't find a picture of Robert without his infectious smile, and struggled to find the right words to express how much she will miss him. She regretted not being able to hug him and convey the depth of her love. Despite Robert's imperfections, Emma never doubted the bond they shared.

Emma also mentioned that she will forever treasure the memories she made with her cousin.

"We had plans for many backpacking trips, but only managed to go on one. I'll miss your dad jokes, our coffee runs, and the dinners we shared," she expressed. "Remembering the times we watched movies together and how you always let me apply messy face masks on our faces. You always made sure I had eaten and that I could talk to you anytime. You were a son, a brother, a soldier, and a friend. If there is a god, I hope he's giving you peace. I love you, Robert."

On Tuesday, March 5, Garrison's parents, Kody Brown and Janelle, 54, confirmed the heartbreaking news of their son's passing at the age of 25. The Flagstaff, Arizona police department stated that an investigation was ongoing, but no foul play was suspected as his death was believed to be a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Kody, 55, and Janelle shared in a joint Instagram statement their deep sadness over the passing of their beloved son, Robert Garrison Brown. They described him as a bright presence in the lives of those who knew him, and expressed how his absence has left a significant void in their hearts. The day following his passing, it was revealed through a police report obtained by We that Janelle had informed law enforcement about a message sent by her late son to a group chat that included individuals affiliated with the Brown family.

Garrison reportedly wrote that he wants to hate you for sharing the good times, but he can't. He misses those days.

Even though Janelle was not in the chat, she found out about his message and contacted him. They had a short conversation before he stopped responding. After Garrison's silence, his brother, Gabriel Brown, went to see him and called the police right away when he found Garrison's body.

Garrison is the son of Kody and Janelle, who are known for being on the show Sister Wives. The couple, who separated in 2022, have five children together: Logan (29), Madison (27), Hunter (27), Gabriel (22), and Savannah (19).
