In the most recent episode of season 18 of Sister Wives, Christine Brown pleaded with Janelle Brown to give up on her relationship with Kody Brown and relocate from Flagstaff, Arizona.

“I'm unsure about the status of Kody and Janelle,” admitted Christine, aged 51, in the episode that aired on Sunday, October 22. The show, which resumed filming in the spring of 2023, is aired on TLC.

During the Easter celebration, Christine and Janelle, aged 54, reconnected with their children. Janelle expressed her readiness to move forward but seemed hesitant about the possibility of relocating closer to Christine in Utah. (Christine ended her relationship with Kody, aged 54, in November 2021 and married David Woolley on October 7. Janelle confirmed her separation from Kody in December 2022.)

In a confessional, Janelle emphasized the importance of preserving and establishing traditions that hold significance for both her children and Christine's children. She highlighted the need for a shared identity within this part of their family.

Janelle expressed to the cameras that she does not necessarily feel a sense of longing for Kody, nor does she miss her other sister wives Robyn and Meri Brown. She shared that this holiday has brought her a great deal of tranquility, perhaps the highest level of peace she has experienced in quite some time.

In another part of the episode, Janelle opened up to Christine during her visit to Arizona in July. "I'm having some difficulty because I don't feel a longing for him," Janelle shared during that time.

Later, Janelle confessed that she felt a sense of relief when Kody didn't come to her house after their birthday dinner in May. "I was genuinely content with just saying goodbye as he drove off to Robyn's place while I returned to my apartment," she clarified.

The series of events had made Christine concerned about her dear friend and sister wife. "The more I hear, the sadder I feel for her, to be honest," Christine expressed to the cameras. "She's my friend and I genuinely want to see her happy, not stuck in a situation where her husband takes her out for her birthday but then leaves her at home to be with his other wife."

In her confessional, Christine expressed her frustration, wishing that Janelle would "acknowledge the truth and leave Flagstaff! Sorry, but this situation is just heartbreaking."

Janelle, on the other hand, maintains that she is content with her relationship status, or lack thereof, with Kody. She makes it clear that there is no hope for reconciliation and she refuses to accept anything less than what she deserves. Janelle asserts that she is taking control of her own happiness and taking steps to better her situation. Additionally, Janelle confided in Christine, expressing that the fight she and Kody had in December 2022 marked the definitive end of their relationship and marriage. She further states that she feels more at peace when he is not present.

That confirmation further fortified Christine's determination to help Janelle move on from Kody and their life in Flagstaff completely.

"She deserves to be with someone who truly loves her, someone who is committed to a real marriage," Christine expressed to the cameras, expressing her concern that Kody will only offer Janelle minimal attention and affection.

Apart from his failed relationships with Christine and Janelle, Kody and his first wife Meri, aged 52, announced in January that they had officially ended their romantic connection. Following this, Meri has now moved her clothing business to Utah, where her family's bed and breakfast is located. Meanwhile, Kody and his fourth wife, Robyn, aged 45, are still legally married and residing in Arizona on a full-time basis. Don't forget to catch Sister Wives on TLC every Sunday at 10 p.m. ET.
