Meri Brown is looking back on her love for the late Garrison Brown after his passing at the age of 25. The 53-year-old Sister Wives star posted a throwback picture of herself with Garrison on Instagram on Tuesday, April 2, stirring up deep emotions.

While scrolling through my phone tonight, I stumbled upon an old photo of Garrison and me from 2018. I didn't even realize I had this picture, but it's one that I will always hold dear. We are pictured smiling together in the photo.

It is with heavy hearts that we received the news of Garrison's passing in his Flagstaff, Arizona home on Tuesday, March 5. He tragically took his own life with a gunshot wound. Garrison, the son of Meri's ex-husband Kody Brown and her former sister wife Janelle Brown, was only 25 years old.

At the time of his passing, Janelle, 54, and Kody, 55, released a statement together to confirm the news.

In their statement, they expressed their deep sorrow over the loss of their son, Robert Garrison Brown. They described him as a shining light in the lives of everyone who knew him. The void left by his absence is overwhelming, and they ask for privacy as they mourn and remember him.

Looking back at Garrison’s life, Meri expressed that when she saw the 2018 photo, it brought her to tears. She mentioned that it reminded her of the love she has for him and the pain of losing him. She added that grief can come in unexpected waves, and all that remains are memories of the moments spent with him.

Meri also mentioned that it has been one month since Garrison's passing.

Today marks four weeks since we last had him by our side. We cherish a lifetime of memories with him.

Meri also honored Garrison last month when she paid tribute to her late mother, Bonnie Ahlstrom, who passed away in 2021.

This week has been a rollercoaster of emotions, but I couldn't let March 9th go by without honoring and celebrating my dear mom on her birthday. She has always been my rock, providing comfort and unwavering support whenever I needed it.

I find solace in the thought that she is probably welcoming Garrison with open arms and a warm smile up in heaven. Mom, please watch over our boy and give him a hug from me. Your love and care continue to guide us even from afar.

Garrison, a staff sergeant in the Nevada National Guard and a member of the 1st Squadron, 221st Cavalry, was honored in a ceremony at the Clark County Armory on Sunday, March 24.

The National Guard's Facebook post highlighted Brown's adventurous spirit, noting his extensive travels to different countries and continents. They also mentioned his passion for comedy, amateur craftsmanship, and adventurous photography, especially his captivating night sky photography.

Brown's loved ones fondly recall his sense of humor and knack for building connections. His absence has created a noticeable emptiness in their lives. His legacy encourages everyone to value their relationships and practice kindness.
