Sister Wives star Janelle Brown reveals that she and her ex, Kody Brown, have differing views, particularly when it comes to his belief that Janelle was only interested in his physical appearance. During the Sister Wives: 1-on-1 special that aired on Sunday, November 26, Kody, 54, referred to his previous statement, claiming, "I've got nice pecs and a great six-pack, but that's all she's interested in." Kody clarified that his comment was centered on the fact that Janelle has always viewed him as solely a physical and material asset, without truly delving into his personal qualities.
Janelle, 54, initially laughed when she first heard his take, not agreeing with it at all.
“I always believed that our relationship was very strong,” Janelle said in an exclusive interview with We, alongside Christine Brown. “My perspective on what happened is completely different from his. I think he’s just speaking off the cuff right now. But it was much more complicated than that. A marriage involves so much more than that.”
She added, "Our six children are truly wonderful. Until recently, they had great relationships with their dad, and I just find it strange that the dynamic has shifted. It's actually kind of amusing to me."
Janelle and Kody were spiritually united in 1993 and have children named Logan, 29, Maddie, 27, Hunter, 26, Garrison, 25, Gabriel, 21, and Savanah, 18. In December 2022, she revealed that she and Kody had been living separately for several months after almost three decades together.

One year after Christine, 51, left Kody, and Meri Brown announced her split from Kody in January. Robyn Brown, who legally wed Kody in 2014, is now the only remaining wife. Kody claims he was just "acting" as though he was in love with his three exes and was only ever truly in love with Robyn, 45. Janelle doesn't quite believe that.
Janelle told Us that she believes things changed when Robin arrived, but she doesn't think he was being insincere. She feels that they were working together to build a family, and she doesn't agree with his perspective of brushing it all off. Christine, on the other hand, feels differently after marrying David Woolley. She now understands what it means to be in love and to feel loved, realizing that she never really knew what that was like before. Looking back, she thought everything was fine and had no idea that anything was wrong.
