Garrison Brown welcomed a cat into his home shortly before passing away.
On Thursday, February 29, Garrison shared on Instagram about his new companion, Ms. Buttons. He mentioned that she is 9 years old and was at risk of being euthanized, but he couldn't resist saving her. #crazycatlady.
Garrison, whose real name is Robert Garrison Brown, shared photos of his beloved cats. On Tuesday, March 5, it was confirmed that Garrison, the son of Kody Brown and Janelle Brown, had passed away at the age of 25 in an apparent suicide.
Garrison passed away at his home in Flagstaff, Arizona due to an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to a statement from the Flagstaff Police Department. An investigation is ongoing, but no foul play is suspected. Garrison's brother, Gabriel, 21, discovered his body at their residence.
In an emotional tribute posted on social media on Tuesday, Kody, 55, and Janelle, 54, confirmed the heartbreaking news of their son's passing.

"We are saddened to share that our beloved son Robert Garrison Brown has passed away," Janelle and I expressed in a joint Instagram post. "He brought light into the lives of everyone who knew him. The void left by his loss is immense and leaves us breathless. We kindly ask for privacy as we cherish his memory."
Garrison appeared on Sister Wives with his parents and siblings starting in 2010. Along with Garrison and Gabriel, the exes have children Logan, 29, Maddie, 27, Hunter, 26, and Savanah, 18.
Janelle officially ended her spiritual marriage to Kody in December 2022. Kody's marriages to Christine Brown and Meri Brown had already ended in 2021 and 2022, respectively. He is currently still married to his fourth wife, Robyn Brown.
In 2021, Garrison moved into his own home after a disagreement with Kody over COVID-19 restrictions. Unfortunately, the relationship between Kody and his sons, Garrison and Gabriel, continued to deteriorate when Kody insisted that they apologize in order to maintain a relationship.
Gabriel mentioned during season 18 of Sister Wives, filmed in early 2022, that he and Garrison were not seeing eye to eye with his dad. When they spoke up about their concerns regarding COVID, they felt like they were hitting a wall. The lack of communication really strained their relationship.
Janelle shared in an interview with E! News in November 2023 that Kody's relationships with his sons were still strained. She expressed her hope that with time, Kody could mend the relationships with the children he is currently estranged from.
