It is revealed that the soul of her deceased lover, Jerrod, was controlling the soul collective known as Ermac, and after Sindel's demise, her soul becomes a part of this collective as well. Though she no longer possesses a physical form, Sindel is able to reunite with her beloved. While her future role in the timeline remains a mystery for now, she at least receives a relatively satisfactory ending.
Sindel sought something extraordinary to recover from her previous depiction in Mortal Kombat 11, and the revamped storyline of Mortal Kombat 1 provided precisely what she needed. Her authentic self has returned in full force, retaining her enjoyable gameplay, ensuring fans do not feel deprived. Additionally, her MK11 counterpart's resounding defeat can be considered a delightful bonus, albeit resulting in the demise of the rejuvenated Sindel. With Mortal Kombat 1, Sindel enthusiasts can take solace in the fact that her original character has been rescued.
