Obi-Wan successfully breached the Fortress Inquisitorius and what awaited him inside was even more horrifying than he had anticipated. He came across the preserved bodies of Jedi slain by the Empire, kept as trophies in amber. Some of these Jedi were familiar to both Obi-Wan and the audience.

Lucasfilm recently released excerpts from Dawn of Rebellion: The Visual Guide, which includes dedicated pages about the Inquisitors. These pages disclose the identity of one of the survivors of Order 66, who was later killed by the Inquisitors. It is revealed that "Valerie Tide, after the Great Jedi Purge, concealed her true identity and seamlessly integrated into the local community on Athio III. However, her cover was blown when it was discovered that she possessed Force abilities, leading to her capture." What makes this revelation truly horrifying, though, is that there is no mention of Valerie Tide being killed before being encased in amber.

Did The Inquisitors Put Jedi In Amber While They Were Still Alive?

Despite her attempts to keep her Jedi background concealed, she inadvertently exhibited her training by adorning a necklace embellished with the unmistakable Jedi emblem, a significant artifact as Jedi seldom cherished keepsakes.
