Kim Zolciak-Biermann and her husband Kroy Biermann have recently reconciled, two months after both of them initiated divorce proceedings. However, their relationship still remains uncertain.
According to an exclusive source, Kim decided to call off the divorce because they are currently getting along well. The source also mentions that their relationship status might change in the future, as tomorrow could bring a different scenario.
Zolciak-Biermann, 44, and Bierman, 37, who have 11-year-old Kroy Jr., 10-year-old Kash, and 9-year-old twins Kaia and Kane, filed for divorce in May. However, it has now been confirmed that they have decided to reconcile after a lengthy legal dispute. The source reveals that they are giving their marriage another try for the sake of their children.
"They are actively prioritizing their children's well-being," the source reveals, acknowledging that the couple currently have a civil relationship, but uncertain about future developments.
Upon their separation in May, Biermann asserted in legal documents obtained by Us that their marriage was "irreparably damaged." The former NFL player, who legally adopted Zolciak-Biermann's daughters Brielle, 26, and Ariana, 21, after marrying the former Real Housewives of Atlanta star in 2011, also sought "temporary and permanent exclusive legal and physical custody" of their four children.
Zolciak-Biermann filed a motion requesting Biermann to undergo a drug test. In the legal paperwork dated May 16, she stated that she had witnessed Biermann smoking marijuana and expressed concerns for the safety and well-being of their children while they are in his care. She expressed fear that the children might be exposed to Biermann's drug use.
Despite still living together in their Alpharetta, Georgia home, the custody battle between them intensified when Biermann asked that Zolciak-Biermann undergo a psychological evaluation and accused her of having a gambling problem. Zolciak-Biermann's lawyer responded to these allegations in a statement to People, calling them "harmful and incredibly misleading."
Weeks later, Biermann accused Zolciak-Biermann's friend of trying to abduct their son. He intended to press charges for "kidnapping" when their son went to the rodeo with Zolciak-Biermann's friend, Elise Humphries. However, Zolciak-Biermann called 911 to refute Biermann's kidnapping allegations, and Humphries also criticized them.
Despite their ongoing custody disputes, a source revealed that Zolciak-Biermann and Biermann were committed to maintaining a amicable relationship for the well-being of their family. Recently, they were even seen taking their children to church together, as captured in TMZ's photos.
"Amidst their challenges, Kim and Kroy unwaveringly prioritize their children's needs above all else," revealed an exclusive source to Us. "Irrespective of the circumstances, this remains their utmost priority and will guide their approach to co-parenting in the future."
