Jag Bains emerged as the victor of the longest season of Big Brother so far, walking away with the impressive $750,000 prize. The live finale on Thursday, November 9th marked the end of this thrilling competition. Jag, aged 25, surpassed his fellow finalists Matt Klotz and Bowie Jane, who secured second and third place, respectively. Although all three contestants had formed an alliance known as The Mafia a month ago, it was Jag and 27-year-old Matt who remained steadfast allies throughout the entirety of the game. In a pivotal moment, when Jag faced eviction in August, Matt strategically utilized the Power of Invincibility to nullify the vote and save his loyal comrade.
In the lead-up to the finale, Matt emerged as the winner of part 1 in the final Head of Household competition, while Jag claimed victory in part 2. The duo, known as The Minutemen, then faced each other in the live third round of the final HoH competition on Thursday.
Ultimately, Jag emerged as the winner and chose to take Matt with him to the final two. They were then subjected to a series of questions from the seven jurors: Cameron Hardin, Cory Wurtenberger, Blue Kim, America Lopez, Cirie Fields, Felicia Cannon, and Bowie, aged 45. In the end, Jag won by a vote of 5-2. Additionally, during the live finale, Cameron, aged 34, was crowned as America's Favorite Houseguest.
Jag, the first Sikh houseguest in the history of Big Brother, expressed his admiration and humility regarding this remarkable distinction during a conversation with Parade in July. He emphasized the significance of representing his Sikh community, highlighting his daily identity as someone who wears a turban. Jag's appearance on the show allows him to authentically be himself and serve as a representative not just for himself, but also for his family, people, and community, which carries immeasurable meaning to him.
Big Brother 25 debuted on August 2nd, introducing a Multiverse theme that encompassed various challenges, twists, and unique house decor inspired by four distinct universes: the Comic-verse, the Humili-verse, the Scary-verse, and the Scramble-verse.
"The Big Brother multiverse has been unleashed," remarked host Julie Chen Moonves 100 days ago during the season premiere. "This signifies more than just a revamped house; it entails a complete transformation of the game itself, resulting in the most unpredictable season of Big Brother to date."
Jag's eviction being reversed, Jared Fields and Cameron getting a second chance after being eliminated in the initial Double Eviction, and Survivor icon Cirie joining as the 17th competitor were the most significant shifts of the season.
Cirie, a 53-year-old Survivor legend, participated in the game alongside her son Jared, who is 25 years old. They successfully concealed their familial relationship from most of the other houseguests. Only their closest ally, Izzy Gleicher, and Jared's showmance partner, Kim, were able to uncover the truth.
