Jared Fields, from Big Brother 25, disclosed that he was completely transparent with his showmance partner Blue Kim regarding his relationship status outside of the house. "I honestly shared with Blue that I had just ended a seven-year-long relationship," revealed the 25-year-old. This statement was given exclusively to We on Friday, September 29, the day after his elimination from the CBS reality series.
Speculation among Big Brother fans arose when they noticed certain statements and conversations from Jared captured on the live feeds, suggesting that he had a girlfriend back home. In one instance, Jared was heard addressing someone special, saying, "Kenzo baby, I love you" multiple times to the cameras, which appeared to be a nickname for "Mackenzie."
Last month, Jared had a conversation with Blue, who is 25 years old, regarding giving a birthday shout-out to "Kenzo" during a live eviction. Blue expressed their opinion about the situation, stating that it was unnecessary for Jared to have a showmance on the show and then send birthday wishes.
Jared responded, "I suppose so. Our perspectives are quite distinct."
Despite some viewers of the live feed believing that Jared was disloyal while in the Big Brother house, he mentioned to Us that he entered the game as a single person. "It was challenging because I had just come out of a relationship before entering the house. I vowed to myself that I wouldn't get involved in any romantic relationships for the sake of the show," he explained. "However, Blue was someone I could truly trust and she created a comfortable environment for me. She helped me realize that it's acceptable to move on from a breakup and develop feelings for someone new."

He explained, "After being in a long-term relationship, it becomes difficult to imagine being able to love or trust someone again. And as I mentioned, the breakup was recent for me after seven years. So, I was grateful that Blue understood and was able to support me in that situation."
As Jared and Blue's bond strengthened, he made the decision to disclose that his mom, Survivor icon Cirie Fields, was also in the vicinity. While some viewers were taken aback by Jared's willingness to share such personal information, he provided an explanation to Us magazine.
"Blue divulged a significant secret to me regarding her true identity in the game. Contrary to popular belief, she wasn't a TikToker outside of the house; instead, she held the profession of a [brand] strategist," he disclosed. "At that moment, I felt a growing bond of trust with Blue and a sense that I could confide in her. ... After spending 58 days together, it became evident why I was fiercely protective of Cirie, who happens to be my mother, and people started to catch on to my overprotective nature. ... I believed that if I could truly rely on Blue within the confines of the house, she deserved to know."
When asked about their potential romantic relationship post-season, Jared expressed that it is highly likely. However, he cautioned against prematurely predicting the future, acknowledging that he and Blue have yet to truly know each other beyond the confines of the game.
