The Big Picture

The Big Brother 25 houseguests in showmances are all out of the game, but love isn't lost as a houseguest receives an unexpected love letter.

The HoH, Matt Klotz, receives a touching letter from Reilly Smedley, his romantic interest, conveying her support and longing to be with him. As the season progresses, their relationship blossoms, with Matt openly admitting his feelings for Reilly and even crafting a heartfelt shrine made of q-tips for her.

A 'Big Brother' Houseguest Gets an Unexpected Love Letter Initiating Potential Showmance

The game has seen the departure of all the Big Brother 25 houseguests who were involved in showmances. First, Jared Fields was evicted prior to the formation of the jury. Cory Wurtenberger then followed suit, becoming the second juror. The double eviction on October 26 resulted in the eviction of Blue Kim, followed by America Lopez. At this point, the remaining houseguests consist of a mix of allies, friends, and even enemies. Surprisingly, it appears that love hasn't completely vanished within the confines of the Big Brother house.

The live feeds unveiled Matt Klotz as the winner of the HoH competition, entitling him to receive a letter. In the privacy of the HoH room, he shared its contents with Jag Bains, Cirie Fields, Bowie Jane, and Felicia Cannon. "I had a hunch about the sender since their name was mentioned at the bottom," he exclaimed.

Dear Matt Ice,

Congratulations on making it to the HoH suite! You must be feeling on top of the world right now, and you absolutely deserve to enjoy every moment of this accomplishment. Wear that key proudly around your neck. I want you to know how much I believe in you, and your family and friends are incredibly proud to see you kicking butt in there. I am constantly cheering you on, 24/7.

By the way, I love your cute braids. If anyone is capable of winning this, it's definitely you. I also wanted to let you know how much I miss you and how I wish I could be there in person, telling you all of this at 3 a.m. on the hammock while indulging in your weird lemon popcorn. If the silly q-tip heart didn't already make it clear, let me assure you that the feeling is mutual, and I can't wait to see you.

Now, hurry up and win this thing, so we can celebrate by attending an LSU football game together. We'll conquer it like true warriors.

Sincerely,

Your fellow late-night partner, Reilly Smedley

The bartender emerged as the victor of the first Head of Household (HoH) competition this season and promptly formed an alliance called Family Style, with Matt being one of its members. Their bond grew stronger in the second week when Hisam Goueli singled her out as a target. Reilly's impending eviction became evident, at which point Matt confessed his affection for her, eliciting an "awww" from her. Even after she left the house, the Olympian displayed his adoration by crafting a heart shrine out of q-tips in her honor. Unfortunately, someone tampered with it, leading Matt to mistakenly believe that America was responsible. In a related incident, America arranged all of Cory's belongings on her dresser as a way to remember him after his eviction. Matt threatened to retaliate, claiming that she had interfered with his shrine. Eventually, she admitted that Izzy Gleicher was responsible, not her. The shrine dispute lingered within the house and fueled Matt's desire to target America. With her departure, Matt now holds onto hope for a future with Reilly.
