Sam Hunt and his wife, Hannah Lee Fowler, showed their strong bond at the 2024 CMT Music Awards on Sunday, April 7. The 39-year-old singer and his 38-year-old wife walked the red carpet together before the awards show at the Moody Center in Austin, Texas. Hunt was also scheduled to perform at the event.

Hunt and Fowler have been a couple since 2008, but their relationship has had its share of challenges. They got married in April 2017 after announcing their engagement in January of the same year. However, in February 2022, Fowler filed for divorce from Hunt, accusing him of inappropriate marital conduct and adultery. Hunt chose not to address the allegations, and Fowler eventually requested the dismissal of her petition.

After reconciling, Hunt shared the news of their daughter Lucy's arrival in June 2022 and their son Lowry's birth in November 2023. A source revealed to We after their first child was born that the couple's relationship was still a "work in progress." Hunt expressed his hope to return to the way things were before the divorce filing.

In a rare interview in July 2023, Hunt openly discussed the influence of fatherhood on his life.

He shared with ET Canada that there were years where he didn't realize how much he needed to grow up. Having a child made him see the changes he needed to make. It was like shedding a skin and he felt like a different person after becoming a parent.

Hunt talked about how becoming a parent for the first time woke him up from his routine. He had been going through the motions for so long, but having a child made him see things differently. He felt like he needed this change in his life and he feels grateful for it. Becoming a parent helped him level up in many ways.

He added: “I’ve got a long way to go in general now, but I feel up for the challenge.”

Hunt elaborated that his children acted “like a mirror in some ways” for him to evaluate himself.

"I find myself becoming more self-aware and it's important to me to act responsibly. I feel like I have a better understanding of myself now," he explained. "It's eye-opening to see how I present myself, how I communicate, and how I behave, especially when I view myself through the perspective of my child."
