Hunt excitedly shared his daughter's latest developments leading up to the 2022 CMA Awards. "She's really coming into her own, smiling more and recognizing me," he told Audacy's Katie Neal. "I've been keeping track and I've managed to make her smile 21 times in a row as soon as she sees me. I think it's safe to say she likes me!"

"[Fatherhood] has provided me with a profound sense of direction — both at home and while traveling. It has also instilled in me a newfound gratitude for life in general. I feel like I experienced a sudden leap in personal growth, as if I matured 10 or 20 years overnight," Hunt shared during an interview on the "Kate and Company" podcast, emphasizing that he has been "spending as much time as possible with my new baby girl."

While performing at the Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, the songwriter revealed that Fowler had given birth a few weeks earlier. "I feel that being out here -- and in the music industry and being on the road -- has toughened my heart," he shared with the audience. "My heart has definitely become a lot tougher in many ways since I left that small town. It's incredible how that little girl melted it all away overnight a couple of weeks ago."

Fowler's pregnancy was mostly kept private by the couple, but Hunt shared the news of their expecting a daughter while cohosting "Country Countdown USA." "I have cleared my schedule for the end of May and early June," he said. "This year is all about this big news in my life. I've seen a lot of my friends have their first kids over the last four to five years, so I feel prepared for it."
