Britney Spears' ex-husband, Sam Asghari, expressed his delight over the way she depicted him in her memoir, The Woman in Me. Asghari, speaking on Wednesday, October 25, told Page Six, "It made me smile, to be honest. I'm genuinely proud of her and I wish her all the success in the world."
In her debut book, which was released on Tuesday, October 24th, before Asghari filed for divorce in August, Spears portrayed her former husband as a "blessing from above." She expressed her admiration for his stability and highlighted his abstinence from alcohol, saying, "I appreciate his solidity and love that he refrains from drinking."
Spears and Asghari crossed paths when he was cast in the music video for her song "Slumber Party" in 2016. Within her book, Spears revealed that she was immediately captivated by the ex-personal trainer. She emphasized the intense initial connection they shared, stating, "I was instantly attracted to him and knew I wanted him in my life right away. The chemistry between us was incredibly strong, and we couldn't resist each other."
The couple had been in a relationship for six years before tying the knot in the backyard of her lavish mansion in Thousand Oaks, California on June 9, 2022. Notable personalities such as Madonna, Paris Hilton, Drew Barrymore, and Donatella Versace were in attendance at the glamorous wedding.
In addition to their passionate love story, Spears expressed gratitude towards Asghari for empowering her to challenge her father Jamie Spears and the "abusive" 13-year conservatorship she endured, which ultimately came to an end in November 2021.
“I admire him for his dedication to exercise and being a positive role model, as well as his commitment to maintaining good health and taking care of both myself and teaching me about mutual support,” she expressed.

The following day, Spears shared her response on her own Instagram page.
"I can't bear the pain any longer!" she expressed. "I've been receiving numerous heartwarming messages from friends through some kind of telepathic connection, and I am truly grateful for them! I've been portraying strength for far too long, and despite my seemingly perfect Instagram, it's far from the truth, and I believe we all understand that!"
She went on to say, "Love should be unconditional, not bound by any conditions. Therefore, I will remain resilient and give my utmost effort! And truth be told, I'm actually doing quite well!"
Additionally, Spears removed all photos of Asghari from her Instagram account, but he still possesses a variety of photographs featuring both of them, including a video from November 2021 where they can be seen wearing "#FreeBritney" t-shirts.
During October, Spears gave an indication in a now-deleted Instagram post that she might consider penning a second book. This potential book could potentially delve into the specifics of her separation from Asghari.
"Currently, I am fully immersed in the joy of riding and writing! Stay tuned for volume 2, following the release of volume 1! #TheWomanInMe," she expressed.
Besides Asghari, Spears has entered into matrimony on two other occasions. She was previously wed to Kevin Federline in October 2004, but they separated in 2007. They blessingly share two sons, Sean Preston (18) and Jayden James (17). In January 2004, she entered a marital union with Jason Alexander in Las Vegas, but the marriage was annulled a mere 55 hours later.
