Ryan Gosling's Romantic Gesture for Eva Mendes Steals the Spotlight at 'Barbie' LA Premiere: Must-See Photos

At the Barbie premiere on Sunday, July 9, Ryan Gosling proudly displayed his affection for his partner, Eva Mendes, by wearing a sentimental accessory around his neck. The 42-year-old actor walked the pink carpet in Los Angeles, adorned with a charming necklace featuring the letter "E," beautifully crafted in the distinctive Dollie Script font of Barbie. Gosling's styling choice perfectly complemented his rosy button-up shirt and his baby pink Gucci suit, which he completed with elegant ivory dress shoes and a stylishly tousled yet attractive hairstyle.

Gosling stylishly acknowledged Mendes' support for his role as Ken on Instagram in May. Mendes shared a series of photos wearing a white T-shirt with Gosling as the male doll. Her caption read, "Feeling the Kenergy. Girls can play too." The T-shirt featured a graphic of a shirtless Gosling wearing a denim vest, with the text "Barbie 2023. Ryan Gosling as Ken" above it.

Expressing excitement over her boyfriend's work in the Greta Gerwig-directed film wasn't a new occurrence for Mendes. Back in June 2022, she confessed to making a unique request for a keepsake from the set. "I asked for that particular underwear. I rarely ask for anything," Mendes shared on The Talk. "Well, I actually got it, and guess what? I'm wearing it right now." (Gosling appeared in Calvin Klein briefs in a promotional photo released by Warner Bros, providing fans with a glimpse of his character in the movie, during the previous summer.)

According to a source, Mendes is extremely happy for Gosling and is his biggest fan. The source also reveals that their love for each other remains just as strong as when they first got together. Gosling expressed his appreciation for Mendes' support by stating that she has now become his acting coach.

Influenced by her and my children, he further expressed, "Their constant presence during the entire journey truly served as my inspiration. When we relocated to London, their assistance became invaluable, especially in certain scenes where I required their aid... On one particular day, my children visited the set and wholeheartedly cheered me on."

The couple, who started dating in 2011, have two daughters together, Esmerelda, 8, and Amada, 7. Gosling playfully mentioned that his daughters were puzzled by his choice to portray Ken. "They couldn't understand why I wanted to be Ken... Now they don't want to play with Ken," he shared with Extra.
