Each present was beach-themed, featuring items such as puka shells or a sign that read ‘Pray for surf.’ While it remains unclear what exactly Ken’s role on the beach was meant to be, it felt as though the gifts were intended to help him understand the coastal lifestyle a bit better."

Despite initial confusion over Gosling's casting as Ken, given his history of dramatic roles, the actor has proven his comedic chops in films like Lars and the Real Girl, Crazy, Stupid, Love, The Nice Guys, and The Big Short.
