Tamra Judge expressed gratitude towards her fans for their concern and provided an update on her health following her hospitalization due to intestinal obstruction. In a video shared on Wednesday, October 11, Judge, aged 56, revealed that she fell ill during her trip to Scotland about four weeks ago. Despite the challenges, she persevered and returned home, only to experience persistent and severe stomach cramps.
The star of The Real Housewives of Orange County revealed that she had to undergo multiple tests at the hospital but thankfully did not need surgery. Due to her history of intestinal issues and previous abdominal surgeries, there was scar tissue present. However, the medical professionals were able to use a tube to remove all the necessary fluids for a 24-hour period, eliminating the need for surgery. Judge expressed hope that this situation would not occur again and expressed gratitude, hoping to be able to go home that day.
On Monday, October 9th, the Bravo personality shared on her Instagram Story that she was dealing with an "intestinal obstruction". This is a condition where there is a blockage preventing food or liquid from moving through the small or large intestine, as described by the Mayo Clinic. Alongside a picture of herself in a hospital gown with a tube coming out of her nose, Judge expressed her hope for avoiding surgery through her prayers.
While Judge received an overwhelming amount of encouragement from users on social media, a few individuals alleged that her health scare was caused by Ozempic. Nonetheless, the reality star promptly responded and defended herself against these critics.
Tamra Judge expressed her outrage regarding the offensive remarks about her usage of Ozempic. She explained how she has endured intestinal issues for several years, having undergone multiple surgeries in the past decade. Tamra also recalled the hurtful comments mocking her lack of a belly button, clarifying that it was a result of a critical emergency surgery to save her life. Tragically, her grandmother passed away due to similar intestinal problems. Tamra emphasized that she has never used Ozempic and would not consider it for weight loss purposes.
Judge has previously been open about her health, and in August 2017, she shared that she had been diagnosed with skin cancer.
In an exclusive interview with We in October 2020, Judge revealed, "I was filming in 2017 and we had some downtime, so I decided to indulge in a massage in my room. During the massage, the masseuse noticed a small black dot on the side of my butt."
Following a biopsy, it was determined that the mark was melanoma. Judge expressed gratitude for taking the initiative to have it examined.
"I probably would have never known it was there because I don't usually check that area," she remembered. "It didn't cause any pain. There were no visible signs. There was no indication that something was wrong. But going through the procedure made me realize that my body was failing me. I actually have melanoma."
