Alexis Bellino Says She Was Nervous for Red Carpet Debut With John Janssen

Alexis Bellino and John Janssen are thrilled to display their love now that they have made their relationship public.

Bellino, who is 47, and Janssen, who is 60, were beaming with joy at the DirectTV Oscars Viewing Party on Sunday, March 10. The event was hosted by Rob Lowe at Spago in Beverly Hills. During an exclusive conversation with We, Bellino provided further details about their first appearance together on the red carpet.

Bellino admitted that she was a little nervous because of the judgment they faced in their relationship. It all began as a friendship and developed into something more. Social media can be quite harsh, but they have decided to face it head-on now.

She credited the negative criticism for actually strengthening her bond with Janssen. Instead of tearing them down, it ended up making them even stronger.

Bellino and Janssen's romance caught the public's attention earlier this year. Bravo fans got to know Janssen when he dated Real Housewives of Orange County star Shannon Beador from June 2019 to January 2023.

Although Beador, 59, and Bellino had not appeared on RHOC together before, they will both be filming season 18. Bellino was a main cast member on seasons 5 through 8, while Beador joined the cast for season 9.

Alexis was already in discussions about coming back to RHOC even before she began dating John. According to a source who spoke to Us last month, her decision to return to the show had nothing to do with her relationship with him.

The insider also mentioned that Bellino, who was seen filming with Heather Dubrow and Emily Simpson, got along great with her fellow Housewives. The source added that she was actively involved with the other cast members and played a significant role in shaping the show's storyline.

Bellino found it easy to return to being in front of the cameras. She compared it to riding a bike, saying it was like getting back on and picking up where she left off. In an interview with Us, she mentioned sharing scenes with Beador and expressed a desire to move on in a positive way. Bellino emphasized that she harbors no ill will towards Shannon and is focused on stopping any lies and moving forward with positivity.

Bellino hinted at tension between herself and RHOC original cast member Vicki Gunvalson due to her close friendship with Beador. She expressed that she believes there should be no issues between her and Vicki, emphasizing that their friendship predated Vicki's relationship with Shannon. Bellino mentioned that she would like to maintain a cordial relationship with Shannon, although she admitted that meeting for coffee may not happen until certain misunderstandings are resolved. Overall, Bellino expressed her desire to keep things civil despite the current circumstances.

Bellino and Janssen are currently looking ahead to their future. They enjoy traveling together and having big family dinners regularly. Their relationship is going really well and they find it amazing.
