Throughout Link's journey in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, he discovers that Lurelin Village is in a state of disarray. Once a bustling fishing community, it has now fallen under the control of pirates. Players familiar with Breath of the Wild will be surprised to hear this news. However, there is hope for Lurelin Village's restoration. In Tears of the Kingdom, players can take specific steps to help return the village to its former glory. To begin this quest, players must first unlock the 'Lurelin Village Restoration Project.'
To access the 'Lurelin Village Restoration' in-game quest, players must first finish the 'Ruffian-Infested Village' quest. This quest requires players to eliminate the monsters that have ravaged the village. It's recommended that Link prepares by consuming defense-boosting and hearty foods. The combat itself is relatively straightforward, but it may take some time to defeat all the monsters.
Don't forget to check the well located north of Lurelin Village, as there is a Bokoblin hiding there. Once the player has defeated all the monsters and brought their health bar down to zero, a cutscene will play, signifying the end of Lurelin's terror and Bolson's determination to rebuild the village with Link's assistance.
Here's a walkthrough for Phase One of the Lurelin Village Restoration Project:
:
The required materials for Bolson's first request from Link are twenty Hylian Rice and fifteen logs. However, palm trees won't cut it as Bolson specifically directs Link to a patch of trees just north of the village, conveniently located next to Sifumin Shrine for easy fast-travel. It's important to note that the logs needed are full logs, not just bundles of wood. To efficiently obtain these logs, Link should use an axe to cut down the trees and Ultrahand to pick them up and transport them to the beach. For even more efficiency, bundling the logs together is recommended.
If retrieving all the logs at once proves to be too challenging, Link can opt to make multiple trips down to the beach with smaller piles of logs. Bolson will clear the beach of these logs and add them to his overall collection.
As for locating Hylian Rice in Tears of the Kingdom, it can be quite elusive. The best bet would be to seek out merchants, who are the most reliable sources for acquiring this particular ingredient.
Zora's Domain, Lookout Landing, and Hateno Village all have general stores that offer a variety of items for purchase. The Gerudo Town Cooking Ingredient Store is also available, but only after completing the Gerudo section of Regional Phenomenon. Be sure to visit Beedle's shop as well for some unique finds. Additionally, keep an eye out for Hylian Rice which can sometimes be found when cutting down fields of long grass.

To continue with the project, Link must now focus on the palm trees that were previously inaccessible. The task at hand involves providing support for the houses and establishments that were damaged during the pirate attack. These tasks can be completed in any order.
One of the first tasks is to restore the inn. To do so, Link must use Ultrahand to clear out the debris inside the pirate-ship-shaped building for Bolson. Combining the junk together and removing it as a single unit can save time, especially with the pipes in the lower section of the ship. Once the debris is cleared, Bolson can begin restoring the inn.
After completing the quest in Gerudo Town, the inn owner will give Link a generous reward of five Volt Fruit. As a result, Link can now enjoy complimentary lodging at the inn. Additionally, the inn owner will begin the process of restoring the restaurant, which will surely attract even more visitors to the area.
.
Restoring the restaurant is a multi-step process. Firstly, the player needs to remove the crates located under the hole in the ship. Bolson has requested a straight palm tree log to be placed in the hole, so any palm tree can be used as long as it's not too flexible. Once the tree is cut down, use Ultrahand to maneuver the log into the center hole. Bolson will then be able to repair it.
After completing the restoration, returning to the restaurant will result in a reward from the grateful family who owns it. Link will receive a delicious Tough Seafood Fried Rice and free access to the restaurant.
To restore the Lucky Treasure Shop, players need to add another palm tree for support. However, this one requires a bit more effort due to its height. Those struggling to place the log can use Ultrahand to hold it in the air for at least five seconds. After that, stand on the wooden circle, use Recall on the log, and use Ultrahand again to grab it from a higher point. Once the log is in place, Bolson can do his magic and fix up the shop.
The Lucky Treasure Shop owner will reward Link with five Bomb Flowers upon his return. This allows Link to utilize the shop to collect monster parts for creating elixirs and fusing weapons.
To restore the Village Head's home, all that is required is a straight palm tree log. Once obtained, use the Ultrahand to insert it into the hole and Bolson will take care of the rest.
Fixing the Village Head's home comes with the added bonus of receiving three Armored Porgy, which are ideal for enhancing defense-boosting meals. In addition, Armes' home also needs a sturdy palm tree log for support. Simply cut down a straight one, place it into the hole with the Ultrahand, and Bolson will take care of the rest.
Now that Lurelin Village has undergone a full restoration, the Village Head intends to hold a grand feast in honor of Link and Bolson. During this feast, the villagers will publicly declare that Link has been granted unrestricted access to all of the establishments in Lurelin Village. This includes complimentary monster parts, free stays at the Inn, and complimentary meals from the restaurant.
With everything done, Lurelin Village will become the bustling fishing hub it once was.
