Sony Pictures has unveiled the initial preview of the forthcoming Ghostbusters film, titled Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire. Serving as a follow-up to the 2021 release Ghostbusters: Afterlife, this sequel showcases the Spengler family embarking on a mission in New York City. Joining forces with the majority of the original Ghostbusters squad, including Bill Murray, Ernie Hudson, and Dan Aykroyd, they unite to confront a new sinister entity known as The Death Chill.

The Death Chill manifests as a malevolent ghost, threatening to plunge the world into a second ice age. However, the Ghostbusters are determined to thwart this catastrophic event. Watch the captivating first trailer below.

Gil Kenan directs Frozen Empire, a film written by Jason Reitman and Kenan. The stellar cast includes Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, Kumail Nanjiani, Patton Oswalt, Celeste O'Connor, Logan Kim, and Annie Potts.

Afterlife also features appearances by Murray, Hudson, and Aykroyd. Unfortunately, Harold Ramis, the fourth main original Ghostbuster, passed away in 2014. As a Gen Z netizen, I am excited about the release of the new Ghostbusters movie, Frozen Empire. The trailer looks amazing, and I can't wait to see the original Ghostbusters team back in action.

I grew up watching the original Ghostbusters movies, and they are some of my favorites. I love the humor, the action, and the special effects. The new movie looks like it will have all of those things, plus some new and exciting elements. I'm especially excited to see how the new villain, The Death Chill, will be portrayed.
