Jag Bains, the winner of Big Brother 25, confidently addressed the jury during the live finale on Thursday, November 9. However, it took him some time to find his footing in the game.
"I believe my social game improved significantly as the season progressed. Initially, I was evicted early in the season," Jag, 25, exclusively told We on Thursday, just hours after being awarded the $750,000 grand prize. "I will never claim that I was the best player in the house at the beginning of the game. Honestly, I think I was terrible. I am fully aware of that. But for me, I gradually became more strategic and deliberate in my gameplay."
Jag faced unanimous eviction in August, but an unexpected twist involving his friend Matt Klotz saved his position. Matt, aged 27, had obtained the Power of Invincibility earlier in the week and used it to prevent Jag from being eliminated. The two formed a final two alliance known as The Minutemen, and Jag remained loyal to it until the last moment when he won the final Head of Household competition. Surprisingly, he chose to bring Matt to the final two instead of their ally Bowie Jane.
Although both Jag and Matt had impressive gameplay, Jag was clearly better equipped to face the jury. In his final speech, he fearlessly admitted to being personally responsible for most of the jurors' evictions. Addressing the group of seven, he boldly stated, "Your eliminations are on my hands," emphasizing that the game unfolded as it did because of his intentional actions.
Jag told Us that he knew the tone of his speech was a “risk,” but he felt it was the best way to make a case for himself.
"I spoke truthfully in my speech. Throughout this season, I was responsible for the elimination of numerous individuals, sending them either home or to the jury. This was solely my doing," he confessed. "The jury consists of highly intelligent individuals who are aware that it was my hand that sent them packing. If they harbor resentment, their bitterness would persist regardless. All I could do was take ownership of my strategic gameplay and trust that they could at least appreciate the way I played the game. I am owning up to my actions, and I genuinely believed that I had earned the victory."
Although Jag claims that he does not have a big ego in real life, he recognized the need to appear self-assured during his speech. He expressed that his goal for the speech was to evoke a reaction and make a strong impact. He emphasized that he would not be indecisive, but would take a firm stance. Jag acknowledged the contribution of his team and acknowledged that his message was conveyed in the most effective way possible.
Despite his no-nonsense appeal to the jurors, Jag told Us that he does feel guilty about sending so many of his allies home.
Jag Bains, a contestant on the reality TV show 'Big Brother' on CBS, found it challenging on a personal level. He formed close friendships with his fellow contestants and got to know intimate details about their lives, such as their family background, childhood experiences, and unique interests. Therefore, when he had to evict someone from the show, it was emotionally difficult for him. Each person's departure left a noticeable void in the house, adding weight to every eviction.
Jag, the first Sikh to appear on Big Brother, expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to represent his community and share his story with the world in a July post on his official Instagram account. He believes that being true to himself is the best approach.
"I will showcase my positive personality and not only focus on my identity as a Sikh-American, but also present myself as an individual," he explained. "I enjoy being lighthearted, making jokes, and demonstrating that we are all human beings. Our appearance shouldn't matter; we all deserve love and respect."
After being crowned the winner of Big Brother 25 on Thursday, Jag was announced as America’s Favorite Houseguest. As the results were revealed by host Julie Chen Moonves, Cameron Hardin, 34, couldn't help but tear up.
Cameron, a contestant on CBS' Big Brother, expressed his disbelief and gratitude for being named the favorite player of season 25. He admitted that he was at a loss for words to describe the overwhelming feeling and considered it a tremendous honor.
Like Jag, Cameron experienced a second chance within the game, resulting in his elimination occurring twice. Despite being a prime target for the majority of the season, he proved himself as a formidable competitor by achieving three Head of Household victories and two successful Veto outcomes. When asked about the reason behind his popularity among viewers, Cameron attributed it to his unwavering determination. He explained, "The only explanation that comes to mind is that I am a fighter. I refused to give up or back down. I faced numerous challenges with limited support, which compelled me to consistently come out fighting each passing week."
