Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman are making a comeback on our TV screens with their new series, Happy's Place.
NBC recently unveiled the first trailer for the show on May 15th. This exciting reunion brings together McEntire, aged 69, and Peterman, aged 52, who previously co-starred on the popular sitcom Reba.
Happy's Place, created by Reba's executive producer Kevin Abbott, follows Bobbie (McEntire) as she inherits her father's restaurant and unexpectedly finds a new business partner in her half-sister (Belissa Escobedo) whom she never knew existed.
In the series, Peterman portrays a bartender at the restaurant who is described as "a bit needy and dramatic" and who secretly wishes to be Bobbie's sister. McEntire's boyfriend, Rex Linn, also makes an appearance in the trailer as tavern cook Emmett. The cast is completed by Tokala Black Elk and Pablo Castelblanco.
Happy’s Place brings together Reba McEntire and Melissa Peterman once again, over 17 years since the conclusion of the beloved show Reba on The CW. Reba, which ran from 2001 to 2007, depicted the life of a hardworking single mom named Reba who adored her children endlessly. After her husband Brock left her for his dental hygienist Barbra Jean, played by Peterman, Reba navigated the challenges of starting anew while caring for her three kids – including a pregnant teenage daughter and her boyfriend. The evolving friendship between Reba and Barbra Jean remains a standout element of the series.
