'Reba' Cast: Then and Now

Explore the journey of Reba McEntire and the cast members of the iconic TV show 'Reba' from their time on the show in the early 2000s to where they are today. Discover how Melissa Peterman and JoAnna Garcia Swisher have evolved since their roles on the beloved sitcom.

Reba McEntire showed her versatility beyond being a country music icon by starring in her own TV show, appropriately named Reba.

The sitcom aired for six seasons, starting from October 2001 and ending in February 2007. McEntire portrayed a single mother raising her three children, played by JoAnna Garcia Swisher, Scarlett Pomers, and Mitch Holleman, while navigating life with her ex-husband (Christopher Rich) and his new wife (Melissa Peterman).

In the years since the series ended, the cast has remained close. Swisher shared in June 2019 that her daughters view McEntire as family. “She’s like Auntie Reba,” the Sweet Magnolias star exclusively revealed to us. “She loves to spoil them. She doesn’t babysit because when I’m with her, I want to spend time together.”

During that time, Swisher also hinted at the possibility of a Reba revival. “I think it could happen and I believe everyone would be excited about it,” she expressed. “There is so much love among us and such happy memories from our time on the show. It felt like we ended things sooner than we wanted to and I sense a lot of support for a revival.”

The cast of Reba is not only on board for a reunion, but there have also been discussions about it. "I know there has definitely been a lot of talk about it," she shared.
