Prince William and his eldest son, Prince George, went out to support their favorite soccer team while Princess Kate Middleton is undergoing cancer treatments. They were seen in the stands at Aston Villa's match against Lille OSC during the UEFA Europa Conference League 2023-2024 quarterfinal match in Birmingham on Thursday, April 11. The father-son duo was actively engaged in the game, pointing, standing, and clapping as they cheered on Aston Villa to a 2-1 victory over their opponents.
William, 41, and George, 10, looked sharp at the event, wearing button-down shirts, sweaters, and matching navy coats. George added a stylish touch with an Aston Villa scarf around his neck.
George, along with his siblings Princess Charlotte, 8, and Prince Louis, 5, are enjoying their school break for the Easter holiday. The break started on the same day Kate, 42, shared that she was starting treatment for a type of cancer that has not been disclosed.
Kate shared in a video message on March 22 that at the time of her surgery, her condition was believed to be noncancerous. Despite the successful surgery, post-operation tests revealed the presence of cancer.
Following the advice of her medical team, Kate is now undergoing a course of preventative chemotherapy in the early stages of treatment. She expressed that the news came as a "huge shock" to her and her loved ones.
Kate and William have been dealing with the situation privately to process and manage it for the well-being of their young family.
Having William by my side brings me comfort and reassurance. The love, support, and kindness shown by many of you mean a lot to both of us.
According to an insider, William is making an effort to support Kate in every way possible. He has been helping with the kids' schoolwork and spending time with them in the afternoons and evenings.
