*NSYNC's Trolls Band Together Reunion Makes Perfect Sense
The exact role of the new *NSYNC music in the movie remains unclear at this time. However, it appears that the new tracks will be featured as BroZone songs, with *NSYNC members Timberlake, Kirkpatrick, Chasez, Bass, and Fatone lending their singing voices to the characters. It is worth noting that, aside from Timberlake, the band members will not be voicing the dialogues for the characters. Instead, Eric André, Kid Cudi, Troye Sivan, and Daveed Diggs will provide their voice talents.
Regardless of how this new music is incorporated, it only makes logical sense for the Trolls sequel to include these fresh tracks. The jukebox musical franchise has always been saturated with references to popular culture, but the entire plot of this new installment relies heavily on the real-life boy band history of its main star. While the Trolls Band Together trailer reveals that the soundtrack also includes the timeless *NSYNC track "I Want You Back," it is only fitting to pay tribute to Timberlake's background by properly reuniting him with the band that is being parodied on screen.
Trolls Band Together is also being released at a time when many of the members of *NSYNC are focusing on their own individual projects. Kirkpatrick, for instance, has recently appeared on multiple reality shows including Celebrity Big Brother, The Masked Singer, and MTV Cribs. Chasez, on the other hand, is working on a musical while Bass has recently launched a podcast titled Frosted Tips. Fatone has also recently reprised his original role as part of the cast for My Big Fat Greek Wedding 3, making Trolls 3 his second trilogy finale of 2023.
