Nicki Minaj had to postpone a concert on her Pink Friday 2 World Tour because she was feeling unwell.
The Smoothie King Center in New Orleans announced on Instagram on Monday, March 18, that the show had to be rescheduled on doctor's orders. They mentioned that Nicki is still sick and they didn't want to risk spreading the illness to others in the audience. They also wanted to ensure that Nicki could give her fans in NOLA the performance they deserve.
The statement went on to say that they are actively trying to reschedule the event, therefore, they advise holding onto your tickets for now. Updates will be provided shortly.
Leading up to her scheduled performance, 41-year-old Minaj hinted that she was not in the best health. She mentioned over the weekend that she was feeling symptoms related to COVID-19.
"Hey Barbz, can you please send me some healing energy?" she asked on March 16 through X. "I woke up today feeling like I might have Covid, but thankfully I don't. You all mean the world to me. I truly appreciate you and love you all so much."
Minaj added, "I'll be going on Station Head in a few minutes. Barbz, please help spread the word. Oh, and just a heads up, my voice might sound a little different today."

During her performance at the Rolling Loud festival in Los Angeles on March 15, Minaj was greeted with enthusiasm by the large crowd of concertgoers.
After the show, she expressed her gratitude on social media, writing, "Thank you, @RollingLoud & to every single fan that gave me incredible energy and support during my performance. CALI!!!!!!"
The Pink Friday 2 World Tour — with special guest Monica — started on March 1 in Oakland, California. It will travel to various cities in the United States and Europe before ending on June 7 in Berlin.
Prior to her first concert, Minaj gave her fans a sneak peek of what they can look forward to during her live performances.
"I've already been on three world tours, so my fans are familiar with my older material. For this upcoming tour, my main focus will be on showcasing songs from my new album. I want to create a whole world around those songs and incorporate some of my older hits as well. I always make sure to include a mix of rap and pop music to ensure everyone has a good time at my shows."
Nicki Minaj's next performance is set for Wednesday, March 20 at State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
