During the event, she mentioned to Vogue that she was there to support her friend Riccardo Tisci, the former chief creative officer at Burberry. She expressed her admiration for the hat she was wearing, stating that she was so in love with it that she wouldn't have worn the outfit without it.

This year, the Met Gala’s theme is “Sleeping Beauties: Reawakening Fashion” with the official dress code being “The Garden of Time.”

In a recent interview with Today on Monday, May 6, Anna Wintour expressed her apologies for the theme being a bit confusing.

“When we chose the title ‘Sleeping Beauties,’ it sounded lovely and romantic. However, it could mean different things to different people,” explained Wintour, 74. “I realize now that it may have caused some confusion, and for that, I am truly sorry.”
