The upcoming film, scheduled for release on Thursday, May 2, is based on the novel "The Idea of You" by Robinne Lee — and showcases Galitzine's perfect boy band appearance.

In a scene from the trailer, Hathaway, aged 41, quietly tells Galitzine, aged 29, "I'm too old for you," just before their characters share a passionate kiss. This particular line captures the essence of the movie, which tells the story of 40-year-old single mother Solène's unexpected love affair with 24-year-old August Moon lead singer, Hayes.

The trailer not only teases the spicy relationship between Solène and Hayes but also shows how Solène handles the public criticism of their romance and the perceptions about their age difference.

“This was never supposed to be a book about Harry Styles,” author Lee said, admitting that Styles and Prince Harry were two inspirations behind Hayes.

"I find it intriguing and special how this movie celebrates female pleasure through its protagonist," Galitzine shared in an interview with U.K.'s Hits Radio on Tuesday, March 5. "It also showcases a rare age gap romance between a younger man and an older woman, which is not commonly seen on screen."

It was previously revealed that The Idea of You would debut as the closing film at South by Southwest (SXSW) on Saturday, March 16. Prime Video shared a sneak peek of the movie during a December 2023 preview, teasing their upcoming film releases for 2024. However, the newly unveiled trailer provides even more exciting footage.

The Idea of You is set to premiere via Prime Video on May 2.
