Nanami’s death is a major moment in the Jujutsu Kaisen anime, prompting his voice actor to share a heartfelt message as he leaves the crew. In Season 2, the popular character Kento Nanami bids farewell as he bravely fights in Shibuya and ultimately passes on the future of the Jujutsu world to Yuji Itadori.

Nanami's passing came as a significant surprise, given his strength. Nevertheless, he was unable to overcome the villains in Shibuya. His demise deeply impacts Yuji, plunging him further into despair. The anime sensitively depicts these events.

The anime also includes a unique scene, exclusive to the anime, where we witness the typically stern and serious Nanami smiling and embracing a carefree life by the beach. In the same episode in which his death is featured, Nanami's voice actor expresses his appreciation to fans before departing from the crew.

Renowned voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda is a well-known figure in the anime industry, particularly for his role as Kento Nanami in Jujutsu Kaisen. Prior to the episode airing, he took to Twitter to express his gratitude, stating "It’s November 23rd (Labor Thanksgiving Day) from 23:56. Please take a look. I’m touched that Jujutsu Kaisen and Nanamin are loved by people all over Japan and all over the world…”

Highly recognized as Tsudaken, he has gained fame for his performances in My Hero Academia, Chainsaw Man, The Way of the Househusband, and numerous other popular anime series. Tsuda is known for his distinctive menacing voice, which effectively conveys the sense of a character who is a formidable presence in the narratives of the protagonists and their adversaries.

While Tsuda has a unique style, he is also a versatile actor, with a filmography that spans from action to comedy. His remarkable anime roles highlight his exceptional talent.

To ensure perfection, he recorded Nanami's intense rage scene against Haruta twice. Fans were captivated by his deep, smoky voice. Tsuda expressed his gratitude to fans for watching #jujutsukaisen and for their support of #nanamikento.

Editor's P/S

As a Gen Z fan, I'm really sad to see Nanami go. He was one of my favorite characters in Jujutsu Kaisen, and I was really hoping he would make it to the end of the series. His death was a major turning point in the story, and it's going to be interesting to see how the show progresses without him.

I think Nanami's death was handled really well by the anime. The scene where he smiles and embraces a carefree life by the beach was really touching, and it showed that he was finally at peace. His voice actor, Kenjiro Tsuda, did an amazing job in the scene, and I could really feel the emotion in his voice.

Overall, I think Nanami's death was a powerful moment in Jujutsu Kaisen, and it's going to have a lasting impact on the series. I'm going to miss him, but I'm excited to see what's next for the show.
