In The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, there are a total of 15 stables where Link can rest and care for his horses on his journey. Unfortunately, the 16th stable, Gerudo Canyon Stable, is no longer in operation. Additionally, there are two Mini Stables that offer horse-related services but do not provide sleeping accommodations.
Each of the operational stables in Tears of the Kingdom features a quest from its keeper, who desires to create a beautiful painting for the interior of the stable. These quests become available as the player completes the temples associated with the Regional Phenomena main quest series. Once Link has cleared any one of these temples, they can accept the quest known as "A Picture for Wetland Stable."
A Picture for Wetland Stable Quest Walkthrough
Wetland Stable can be found just west of Lanayru Wetlands, specifically at coordinates (0888, -0160, 0026). To reach the stable quickly, Link should use the fast travel option and head to Tukarok Shrine. This shrine is located south of the stable at coordinates (0916, -0254, 0034). Another option for Link is to glide from one of the three nearby Skyview Towers: Lookout Landing, Eldin Canyon, or Sahasra Slope. It's important to note that gliding from these towers will require a significant amount of Stamina.
Once Link enters Wetland Stable, he will immediately spot an empty picture frame hanging on the right wall. Upon interacting with it, a dialogue with Lawdon, the proprietor of the stable, will initiate. Lawdon reveals his aspiration to adorn the vacant frame with a vivid painting depicting the enigmatic Ring Ruins, which mysteriously descended near Kakariko Village. This pivotal interaction marks the inception of the captivating quest known as "A Picture for Wetland Stable."
To reach Kakariko Village, players should head southeast from Wetland Stable along the road that passes Sahasra Slope. Eventually, this road will lead Link directly into the village, located at coordinates (1798, -1078, 0114). For convenient travel, players can utilize the fast travel point at Makasura Shrine, which will drop Link off at the village entrance and also provide a clear view of the Ring Ruins. Another option is to fast-travel to Sahasra Slope Skyview Tower and then either glide or run the remaining distance.
Once Link arrives at Kakariko Village, he should proceed a short distance along the road until reaching the General Store marked on the map. From there, Link should direct his gaze towards the northeast, where Lantern Lake is situated. It will be quite effortless for him to locate one of the Ring Ruins that lie scattered. To fulfill Lawdon's request, Link can use the Camera to seize a photograph of the Ruins. Prior to capturing the photo, it is essential to ensure that the "Ring Ruins" text bubble is visibly displayed in the viewfinder.
Alternatively, should the player choose to fast travel to Makasura Shrine, they have the option to ascend the grassy hill located to the right of the shrine's entrance in order to attain a clear and advantageous perspective from which to capture a photograph of the Ring Ruins. Furthermore, if the player wishes to utilize an alternative image of the Ring Ruins at a later time, they can conveniently modify the painting within the stable.
After capturing a satisfactory image of the Ring Ruins, the player should head back to Wetland Stable and engage with the vacant frame once more. This action will catch Lawdon's notice, enabling Link to present him with the photo of the Ring Ruins. With enthusiasm, Lawdon will produce a replica of the image and offer Link a reward of 1 Pony Point and an Electro Elixir, effectively concluding the quest, "A Picture for Wetland Stable."
