Ming-Na Wen Teases Possible Star Wars Comeback as SAG Strikes Conclude

Ming Na-Wen eagerly awaits the opportunity to reprise her role in the Star Wars universe, expressing her desire during a podcast appearance Fans anticipate her return as she awaits the call from the iconic franchise

Ming Na-Wen has recently voiced her desire to reunite with the Star Wars universe in a podcast appearance.

While The Mandalorian has attracted numerous A-list celebrities to its cast, one particular fan-favorite is eager to make a triumphant comeback to the Star Wars universe.

Ming Na-Wen, famous for her roles as the voice of Mulan in the Disney classic film and as Agent Melinda May in Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D, has expanded her presence into the Star Wars universe with appearances in both The Mandalorian and The Book of Boba Fett.

Despite the uncertain fate of her character within the universe, Na-Wen has expressed her eagerness and readiness to reprise the role at any given moment.

Na-Wen is waiting for Star Wars’ call so she can reprise her role

While promoting her her new documentary Pencils vs Pixels on the Ashley & Company podcast, Na-Wen expressed her desire to head back into the Star Wars universe.

Na-Wen appears indifferent to the manner in which her character, Fennec Shand, is integrated into the overarching narrative, stating, "Just place me anywhere, it's of no consequence to me. I'm simply anticipating a phone call."

Na-Wen further expressed her immense longing for the camaraderie on set, a sentiment that was sorely missed during the strike, and conveyed her eagerness and joy to return to the Star Wars universe. She humorously suggested sending a text to Dave Filoni at that very moment.

Na-Wen played Fennec Shand, a human bounty hunter, elite mercenary, and master assassin who rose her way up during the beginning of the Empire’s reign.

After the fall of the Empire, Shand flees and seeks refuge on a desert planet in order to evade the hefty bounty on her head. Eventually, she is discovered and left for dead, only to be saved by Boba Fett. Grateful for the rescue, Shand becomes indebted to Fett, supporting his rise to power in Jabba's criminal empire and aiding him in eliminating potential rivals.

Na-Wen has the opportunity to return as her character in either the fourth season of The Mandalorian or the upcoming standalone Mandalorian film, considering the expansive nature of the Star Wars universe.
