The evolutionary form of Starmie, known as Starmor, boasts formidable statistics and is highly regarded as an elite Water-type Pokemon. Its remarkable ability allows it to soar effortlessly through the Earth's atmosphere.
A creative fan artist took on the challenge of reimagining Starmie, a Generation 1 Pokemon, by designing a remarkable final evolution. In the world of Pokemon fan art, it is quite common for artists to create new evolutions or fuse different Pokemon together, resulting in unique creations. While Starmie may not be the usual subject for fan art, which often revolves around starter Pokemon or Legendary Pokemon, this artist chose to bestow an impressive makeover upon this underrated pocket monster.
Artist and Reddit user phantasma_photo created a captivating evolution for Starmie known as Starmor, complete with an intricately crafted Pokedex entry. Starmor is a remarkable Water and Steel-type Pokemon that acquired its armor through an extended exposure to metals from sunken ships. This shift from Starmie's Psychic secondary typing to Steel amalgamates two of the most formidable Pokemon types available.
In addition to its revamped appearance, the Starmie evolution experienced a substantial increase in its statistics, effectively propelling it into the upper echelons of the greatest Water-type Pokemon ever. Particularly noteworthy are its astonishingly high Special Attack and Speed stats, both of which sit at an impressive 130. These remarkable attributes firmly establish Starmor within an elite category of swift and formidable Pokemon. Due to its extraordinary speed, the Pokedex entry explicitly states that Starmor can be observed soaring up to the Earth's atmosphere and is often mistaken for shooting stars.
The community's only concern about this evolution is its name. To maintain consistency with the naming convention established by Staryu and Starmie, one commenter suggests that the artist spell the name as "Starmour." The artist responded to this suggestion by saying, "That's amazing!"
What's truly impressive is the amount of thought and effort that went into the design and lore of the Starmie evolution. Surprisingly, the entire image was created using Microsoft Paint. Additionally, the artist shared an image of what its shiny version would look like in the comments of the Reddit post.
Starmie, despite being the star member of a renowned Pokemon gym leader in the Kanto region, is often overlooked as one of the underrated Water types available. Nevertheless, this serves as a reminder that every Pokemon has the potential to become a favorite among fans. It is not surprising, considering the enduring popularity of the Pokemon series, that fans have discovered and connected with different Pokemon throughout the years.
