Both Baylan & Snoke Wear Obsidian Rings

Sharp-eyed Star Wars fans have observed that Baylan Skoll possesses an intriguing obsidian ring adorning his finger. Such adornments are atypical for Jedi, or even ex-Jedi, to sport; nevertheless, it bears a striking resemblance to the ring previously worn by Supreme Leader Snoke.

These may not be the exact same rings, yet their resemblance remains noteworthy. Obsidian is frequently associated with the dark side of the Force. In the case of Supreme Leader Snoke's ring, Star Wars tie-ins have verified that the ring is crafted from rock obtained from a Sith shrine beneath Darth Vader's castle on Mustafar. Ahsoka trailers have affirmed that Baylan Skoll was acquainted with Anakin Skywalker and served alongside him in the Jedi Order. It seems he was aware of Anakin's transformation into Darth Vader, which was still undisclosed at that time. This possibility arises that he also has some connection to Darth Vader and could have perhaps acquired the obsidian from Mustafar.

Baylan Skoll & Snoke Have A Lot Of Similarities In Star Wars

The connection between Baylan Skoll and Supreme Leader Snoke is intriguing. Both individuals, although not affiliated with the Sith, possess formidable dark side abilities and present a significant menace to the Star Wars protagonists. While Supreme Leader Snoke appeared solely fixated on his own interests, Baylan demonstrates a clear determination to amass power, which is precisely why he has joined forces with Morgan Elsbeth.

Both Baylan and Snoke appear to be inspired by villains from the Star Wars original trilogy.
