However, what the episode truly emphasizes is that constructing a lightsaber is more than simply gathering random spare parts and assembling them. It is a profound process for a Jedi, involving a profound connection with their crystals. Even before beginning the search for materials, Jedi must first connect with their crystals, sensing the weight and shape of the hypothetical blade in their hands. Utilizing the Force, they meticulously combine each individual component to achieve the ultimate lightsaber. In The Clone Wars, the construction of a lightsaber transcends mere mechanics; it is a spiritual and mystical undertaking.

However, in Ahsoka, Ezra appears to hurriedly rummage through drawers, assembling the parts together before finally receiving the missing piece from Huyang: the emitter. Apart from expressing gratitude towards Huyang for possessing an identical version of Kanan's emitter, Ezra's process of constructing his lightsaber feels practical and rather unremarkable. Considering the amount of time Ezra spent without a lightsaber, wouldn't he need to familiarize himself with the necessary materials or take some time to envision the desired shape? Additionally, where did Ezra and Huyang manage to find another kyber crystal? Wouldn't Ezra need to feel a sense of ownership over the crystal, just as he did when discovering his initial one in the Jedi Temple on Lothal in Rebels?

The process of constructing a lightsaber in the Ahsoka finale lacks any spiritual aspect. Although Ezra's familiarity with lightsabers from previous experiences may give him an advantage in selecting his desired weapon, this should have been a significant moment. After gifting his previous lightsaber to Sabine and nearing his return home, Ezra's creation of a new lightsaber symbolizes the beginning of a new phase in his life. The emotional impact of Ezra's lightsaber assembly in the Ahsoka finale could have been much greater, as illustrated by Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
